My question is. what the hell were they shooting at? Trying to aerate the lawn?
Boy, Houston has really become a bad area, hasn't it? This reminds of certain parts of Philly, PA and Camden area of NJ.
Good points. I also think it's not real because of the way the officer is deliberately going out of his way hint at stereotypical innuendos, knowing he is being recorded by his body cam. It's all a show folks, nothing to see here.
Believe it or not, I think the picture quality on the 5231 is by far better than the 8mp Lorex camera it replaced. I just wish it had a little better night performance.
I would think that in an existing installation, that if the file is on the local network, it would just be a matter of selecting the new firmware BIN file and clicking upgrade. It shouldn't have to connect to the internet as the file is now local
The camera is connected to the NVR. But to clarify, I have downloaded the BIN file to computer accessing the camera's web page. When I go to upgrade, I select the downloaded BIN file on the computer and click upgrade.
It says it is transferring files, but it eventually times out
I tried to update the firmware on my DH-IPC-HDW5231R-Z cameras because of the vulnerabilities mentioned in New Firmware for IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.800.0000013.0.R.191202.zip
When I tried to update, it timed out.
Current firmware on the camera(s) is:
Software Version...
I would check the wiring/connections first to eliminate that aspect. It could be a bad or corroded connection. I presume you are using a POE combiner/splitter for the 2 cameras? If so, I would replace it with a new one
There are so many things that are wrong here - digitally zoomed, nowhere near enough light, and trying to run in color. And trying to lighten an already blurry mess will just become a worse blurry mess.
As we can see by the attached histogram in the first image, the original sin of darkness...
Current firmware on the camera(s) is:
Software Version 2.460.0000.3.R, Build Date: 2017-01-05
WEB Version 3.2.1.413002
ONVIF Version 2.42
Do I need an intermediate firmware version?
Camera(s) are: DH-IPC-HDW5231R-Z
How long does it typically take to do the upgrade to new firmware? I've tried uploading the newest firmware from Andy's link and it just says transferring files and seems to be hung up. Been like this for 15 - 20 minutes
Seems anything with Synology seems to be a troublesome thread. There's already been a few with Synology and empiretech cameras that turned into a shit show. Some persons or group is trying to stir the pot. I would wager that person who starts each thread are either the same or are working...
I find that, for me, anything on the "private" protocol seems to work better with Pale Moon. Those on Onvif, seem to prefer Edge in IE mode. Just my experience
Simple answer NO. That's like asking if there is a living creature that won't die.
I smell a troll. You gave no information on the current installation. You mention electric was finally run to the cam location, but no ethernet cables were run at the time - poor planning.
The photo you...
Every camera will fail at some point. Some last 10+ years some only a few years. I've found that Dahua based cameras tend to last 6 or more years in my location and I'm in one of the worst areas for weather. Installation is one of the keys to a long-lasting camera. In humid areas connections...
Yeah, they're (gov entities, MSM, influencers, etc.) inflating the numbers for it to be the "in" thing.
There are a lot of people who don't think about consequences even a week from now, let alone for a lifetime.
