    Trigger when lights turn on?

You can uncheck those two and still get triggers without zones - most of my cameras do not use the object travels XX # of pixels and the reset feature. Post some screenshots of your settings.

Can you share your settings on the camera - shutter, gain, etc.?

Review: Dahua SD5A425XA-HNR 4MP 25x Starlight IR PTZ

It is the 4MP version of the camera being discussed here. Many of us have commented about the 4MP version within the thread... https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/review-dahua-sd49225xa-hnr-2mp-25x-starlight-ir-ptz-ai-camera-with-deep-ivs-smd-plus.43529/

    Trigger when lights turn on?

I think @DarkHelmet nailed it - by default the reset when object size exceeds a certain size is on by default if you check that box. And a dark room with a light being turned on will be perceived as a reset option - that same option is how many of us eliminate shadow or headlights sending off a...

    Ivs ?

With a tripwire - if you do not have it properly placed in the image, then the camera may not trigger because the camera needs time to identify the target (especially if using AI) before it decides if it is a target to trigger. For example, if you place a tripwire too close to the edge of the...

Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

PTZs tend to be installed higher as they have a longer range, so at a distance 200-300 feet out (or farther - I can clearly make out strangers at double-triple that during the day), the difference in height (provided it is like 20 feet high compared to a fixed cam at 7-8 feet high and not 300...

Motion trigger not using the entire image

What you are looking at is the size of something to reset the trigger - that is different than the motion sensor.

Customised Range - shutter speed - not intuitive

The 0 represents the fastest shutter speed for the camera (most dahua's are 1/100,000), so with your shutter speed of 1, you are running a 1/1,000 shutter and thus it is washed out as you need a faster shutter - and for daytime with all the light color in the image, I would knock the gain down...

    Common issues with camera image

The problem I had with a range for the shutter speed for my LPR was then it was taking photos every time the shutter changed because it would then cycle through an autofocus and of course then it would be a complete blur when a car came through at that time. We just have to recognize that for...

CPU from 67% to 82%+ After Update to 5.3.7.11 (same was true after update to 5.3.7.5)

Try doing a find/inspect of each camera as some have reported that fixing issues. It doesn't lose any of your settings - you are not deleting and adding the camera back - simply going into each camera setting and redoing the find/inspect. Also check that since you are say you not using...

    Excess wire degrading the signal?

I believe that is analog with BNC connectors - definitely do not cut those and try to shorten.

Night Owl 1080p DVR with Lorex LW4211 1080p camera

I don't believe that DVR is wireless so it will not work, even with the contraption that Lorex may provide....plus a lot of times you have to match manufacturers when using a DVR/NVR system - not always, but certainly adds a wrinkle to it. Plus wifi in general should be avoided.

Trying to diagnose my LPR cam, in BI status is in red

It is under the watchdog tab in BI - or turn watchdog off completely by deselecting the Detect loss of signal box.

So true! Hopefully @Mike can either get the Facebook login for IPCAM TALK working again or connect me to my account here created under FB and I will then be done with FB!

PSA - Facebook Login to IP Cam Talk not working

Yeah, some things we learn the hard way LOL. This site has taught me a lot. Now as soon as I can get back into this site with my original account, I am connecting it to my email and getting rid of FB.

Did IVS for Dahua cams break recently?

That was an issue many pointed out in another thread somewhere. Simply rollback to a previous version until the bug is worked out. Some did get it working by doing a find/reinspect of the camera, so try that if you haven't.

BI5 - Do you have to have a support/maintenance plan to get minor updates?

BI is simply enforcing something that has always been stated even with BI4, he simply allowed people in the past to update well past the year. BI started enforcing this policy about 6-8 months ago. Nice thing about this software is there is always some stable version available within the...

    Contact Detail Update

Another issue is that for anyone that created their account to IPCAM TALK using Facebook login credentials, FB decided to do some data usage update so almost every site that allowed people to use their FB credentials to register for a site can now not get in until the site does some update to...

Andy says I need more power!

Strange - my neighbors Lorex NVR runs the PTZ with no problem. He had bought a POE+ switch thinking he would need it, but the NVR supplied enough power to run it. Was the problem during the day or only at night? With IR on it will use more power. But surprisingly, his 8-cam Lorex with all 8...

    Artifacts since enabling sub-stream

Or go back to an older version. I'm on 5.3.6.1 and the substream to mainstream is almost instantaneous - a split second on the sub and then to the main. And do not run substream for the LPR camera - mine was missing events and the pic quality sent to Plate Recognizer wasn't good enough...

PSA - Facebook Login to IP Cam Talk not working

Just a heads up if anyone created their account here using the Facebook login. Facebook did a year end data usage something or another and if you logged out or rebooted your computer, more than likely you are now locked out of IP Cam talk when you try to log back in, like I am having as wittaj...

Trying to diagnose my LPR cam, in BI status is in red

This can happen with LPR cams at night - BI thinks that the black screen is it has lost signal, but it really hasn't. Turn off the "Interpret monocrome as loss of signal" and all should be good. Are you running substream on the LPR - if so, turn it off and just run mainstream. What version BI...
