You should rotate camera 90 degrees and use corridor mode - to increase not width but height coverage... mount camera lower to record faces.. plus use modern camera with WDR - to resolve brightness difference problem and over expose image in upper fragment...- steve1225

5xxx NVR can display last 5 AI events (so also Video Meta Data) from all camera as right AI panel on HDMI or web live view (from one or many cams)... DMSS & SmartPSS don't support this feature (they don't understands more advanced AI events - display them the same way as IVS or SMD)... HDMI... -

this AI is done on cameras (5442-S3).. Full VMD eats full AI power - so no IVS then on camera. 5xxx NVR is required to receive / save / display / search VMD data. 5xxx-EI NVR is requires to support AcuPick data.. 608-XI NVR can do VMD alone on NVR (with any camera) - up to 8 channels. -

Below is example of FULL Video Meta Data on Dahua 5442-Z4E with Dahua 5xxx-EI NVR (pro camera & NVR model).. It does humans, faces, motor vehicles (with plates) and non motor vehicles, each with full set of attributes which are searchable... Dahua have also AcuPick 2.0 which is simplified... -

Most Dahua & HIK models You gave are not 1/1.2" (mostly 1/1.8") or don't even exist (I can't find them)... Aaaa... ok both Andy and people from Dahua Poland told me that first batches with fixed lens of the new WizColor 5xx9-PRO cams should be available in next 1-2 weeks... the sensor used on those cams will be the same as on TIOC-PRO and HIK ColorVu cams (4/6/8 Mpx SmartSens).. they are different...- steve1225

If you disable AcuPick, you have also access to Long Distance Mode / Large AI Model (new name) on TIOC-PRO... the same as on WIzMind-S 5442-S3.. -

by looking by numbers (32mm vs 2.8mm) optical zoom level should be much bigger.. but as I wrote it's about 6x max 6.5x... no more... there will be huge difference in IR performance.. there were many posts in past on this forum, when some one showed old (1/2.8") and new (1/1.8") IR pics -...- steve1225

32mm option (Z4 / Z4M) is only available on WizMind-S 5xx2-S3 and WizMind-X 7xx2-X (plus any proper PTZ).. Please remember that 32mm on 5442-S3 in more like 6x optical zoom (so 1/6 of hight and 1/6 of width 2.8mm image).. Here is difference between 2.8mm and 32mm cams.. For most of those...- steve1225

Base TIOC cams are always using 1/2.8" sensor... And Dahua is refreshing this line every one/two years (now -S5 version).. Only TIOC-PRO with -PRO suffix have 1/1.8" sensor.. there are not newer/older models here.. simply two different lines.. one based on another (PRO version of another).. -

Color4M not Color4K Andy did a few mistakes doing own name schemes - this is one... Under Color naming scheme there are now 3 different generations of cams.. Color4K is Full Color 5849, Color4M is TIOC PRO 3449-PRO.. No... only 1/1.8" sensors and worse night performance that 4Mpx models...- steve1225

No, 1 gen Sony Starvis 1/1.2" sensor used in those cam don't see IR.. That cam have many problems (limited Depth of View - bokeh effect - very high digital sharpening which increases a lot of noise - compression artifacts). This is also very old construction (video processing is 2 gen back...- steve1225

Kant and Hugo firmware lines... So those are continuation of ImouLife and wireless consumer cams... very underpowered SOC/CPU.. and features cut in firmware.. those are lower than Dahua 1xxx lines... -

for now this feature is in new cams from 5xxx line up.. They have bigger CPU/SOC processor and can do more AI processing.. somewhere in 2-3 years it will be probably also on new 3xxx cams... typical product & features fragmentation..- steve1225
