Separate IVS Rules for Cloned Spotter Camera - Is it possible?

Glad to hear that BI will have this capability sometime in the future. Any guess as to when this new feature will roll out? In the meantime, will deactivate the use of the spotter cam until this new feature is made available. Thanks for the heads up....

Separate IVS Rules for Cloned Spotter Camera - Is it possible?

Using BI (5.7.7.18) with a Dahua PTZ and a Dahua spotter (5242) cam. The PTZ Web 5 camera IVS rules are set for people detection only. The spotter IVS camera rules (Web 4) are set for both people and vehicle. When the spotter cam triggers, the PTZ zooms into the end of the street and follows...

All Alerts Today disappeared, also not alerting new ones

Had a similar issue this week with BI (5.7.7.18). Timeline had no tick marks and no alerts which effected all of the BI cameras. However, the cameras were all recording, but when manually triggered would not display a timeline orange tick mark. In my case, the shield displayed in the top task...

Comca$$ and other ISPs asked FCC to ditch listing-every-fee rule. FCC says "no."

Yes, it will be nice to see them go away. Our local ISP will now start to charge for email that was included in the monthly service charge. i.e. free They say "Due to the increasing complexity of maintaining the email service...." Now they want $5 per month for a service that they could...

    Swiveling panoramic camera

The Dahua SD5A425XA-HNR (PTZ5A4M-25X) PTZ camera will work as illustrated in your live feeds. Cost in the range of $750 USD. Check with Andy (kingsecurity2014@163.com) for availability and current price. The issue with a PTZ, on tour or using presets, is that the camera will have a limited...

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

Only one month at a time changes which changes daily based on LUX readings at sunrise and sunset. My default is "day" for all unused months as it is an unimportant setting. The goal was to find a way to switch the Web 5 camera from day to night and back again without using the provided camera...

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

Here is an image of the way the Time Plan Settings (Schedule) looks in Web 5 when activating the night camera mode. For the day mode all of the months would be orange.

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

You and I both agree. Would rather NOT use the schedule but at present it is the only way to achieve day/night switching with Web 5. It is more or a back door approach to making the camera work for a day/night switch application. Tried a number of older Web 4 API's and these do not work in a...

    Mini-Review - 5241-Z12E-S2 - Replacement for the 5241-Z12E

See if the following HTTP API will work with the new Web 5 interface on the 5241 Dahua camera. It works perfectly on a Dahua SD5A425XA-HNR (PTZ5A4M-25X) PTZ for day/night operations using a Web 5 interface to modify the schedule without the need to drag sliders around. Day Switch...

    Triggers, alerts and AI

This may be of assistance. There are a few more HTTP API's that could work depending on model and FW. It is a matter of trial and error and a lot of testing. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/change-day-schedule-on-dahua-ip-camera-via-dahua-api.71218/post-788871 To trigger the cameras on BI a...

Change Day Schedule on Dahua IP Camera via Dahua API

This is in response to a message about the day/night setup.... The first step to determine if an API call will work, is to enter a test API URL for a specific camera using a browser on the same machine that is hosting BI. In my case, I use FireFox. Note that Web-4 and Web-5 (the blue one) often...

Change Day Schedule on Dahua IP Camera via Dahua API

On this end, API calls are tested by placing the URL into FireFox on the same network and machine that is hosting BI. As listed in the posted code, the user and password are part of the URL. Have not had any issues with it not working. If the user and password are not part of the URL, then FF...

Change Day Schedule on Dahua IP Camera via Dahua API

Thanks for clarifying the issue on the Night settings. It appears that the API, for that call, is requiring some additional information in order to generate an additional time block as it bounces back an error. Looks like that is most likely undocumented in the API listings. Yes, using three...

Change Day Schedule on Dahua IP Camera via Dahua API

Appreciate your time and effort to come up with an API to switch Time Plan Settings. It would be nice if the HTTP API would address these issues, but the document does not. Using the following PTZ for day/night operations - Web 5 Device Model: Dahua SD5A425XA-HNR (PTZ5A4M-25X) Algorithm...

Moving on from 2020 Lorex Nk264-89AB 9 Camera System?

You may be well past the CostCo electronics return time. For digital POE camera the use of CAT-5 is good enough. No need for a better version as it is generally rated at 350 megs. A Dahua camera comes in around the 10 meg bandwidth range. Read through the threads to get an idea of what is...

    LPR - Night time

As stated in many threads, on this site, a camera with a 1/2.7 sensor at 8 megs will have close to zero night performance. Your best best is to return the camera and purchase one of the suggested units for LPR use. IMO, this is one application that being 'cheap' will not pay off!

Do I need a IR Illuminator?

Yes, would second the opinion on adding an additional IR emitter (light) to illuminate the areas of interest. Plus, as suggested above, turn off the camera IR as your area of interest is at the far end. Perhaps try mounting the IR lamp on the left post facing the far end. And there may also...

    SD4A425DB-HNY Day/Night Switch

So far Mode 1, 2 and 3 work. What is interesting is that 'General' is called 'Normal' in the API. It would be great if the API would follow the naming scheme that is used in the camera UI or the other way around. In the new blue interface one would think that listed 9 profiles (Front Light -...
