LastPass says hackers stole customers’ password vaults

I moved everything over to Bitwarden. It's open source and you have the option to host the vault yourself. The feature functionality is very close to lastpass so it was an easy transition.

Possible office building customer for coming up. Recommendations for Dahua cameras?

Not sure what the real budget is that you are looking to stay under for this project but have you thought of a small NAS to archive the footage to? I have a Synology with 5 drives that I move video to after a few days and it stays on the NAS for up to a year. When you search or click on a...

LastPass says hackers stole customers’ password vaults

With all that said, I am looking at other solutions now. This last breach pushed me over the edge I guess. It just seems indicative of LP growing complacent over the years. This was like breach #3 actual in total from what I recall and even though I use MFA and a really strong master password...

LastPass says hackers stole customers’ password vaults

Lastpass used to have a local version where you could download your vault from the cloud and work with it locally. Too bad they got rid of it.

Using multi-factor auth helps reduce the risk as well. They would need not only your password but the next token to get into your data.

And so I bought my low voltage company that has been dismissive of any online presence along with today's technology. Email? Webpage? Techy stuff?

That's where the DNS domain ownership comes in. You point your email DNS entries to whichever provider is hosting the email. Have you found out yet who "owns" the domains? There should be a transfer process at most domain registrars that you would need to follow to "take over" the domain.

Just updated now. Ended up having an issue with an old camera that needed newer firmware. Testing went well. I'll keep an eye on it.

My employer has installed a bunch in the parking lot/garage and the local supermarket has them now. The supermarket offers free charging, at my employer it’s a 50% discount. Hopefully more businesses will follow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Help With First Camera Soffit Install?

Sure - it makes some sense. It’s personal preference and I do still have 2 of the Lowe’s style boxes going. I will be switching them out though at some point. Also the mounts I sent you wouldn’t prevent you from switching cameras and you also only need a 3/8” hole to pass the coax through which...

Help With First Camera Soffit Install?

I've used 3 methods over the years, I have the water-proof junction box, the PFB203W which is listed as a wall mount and and the PFA130 junction box. Obviously, a lot depends on your situation and the camera being used. For the cameras that I run, I really prefer the PFA130. mounts found...

Here here! 100% agree. That mileage does stink for sure. There are blogs out there where folks log their long journeys via EV but it does "change" how get to from point A to point B. It does require taking the longer route. Here in CT where crime has also gone a bit crazy, I'm just glad my...

The charge numbers in the article seem a bit "off". It could be the difference between manufacturers (I have a Ford not a Nissan) but based on my own experience, I get about 250'sh (sometimes more) miles on a "full" charge so, no sure why the author could not make it 178 miles without having...

    Cameras without VLAN?

I run VLANs. I only average about 100mbps which is still a fraction of what the switches are capable of. Iperf3 test show about 940'ish mbps so, depending on who you talk to, you will get different answers/opinions on VLAN use.

Unknown hidden synchronization of data on asus RT-AC68U router.

The router has to keep track of each session which contains all that info - it's the monitoring/reporting of that activity that would be key here.
