Reasonably easy way to recieve alerts on my Verizon phone?

It will, you just won’t see the rich 3D preview pictures unless you are on VPN back to your network, or you open ports on the router back to the BI server. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Overlap

The cams don’t have their own clock from what I recall. Even with a clock chip, clocks wander too. That’s why the best/easiest method is to setup NetTime and call it a day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When are you ordering your EV?

Right now, with the way things are going with the price of gas, it’s at least 1/3 the cost to charge my EV than it is to drive my truck. I’ll cash in on that for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When are you ordering your EV?

Picked up a Mustang Mach-E for my wife on Valentines Day ( I know, best husband ever ). It seemed perfect given that she doesn't do too much driving typically. With the purchase, I qualify for a $7500 tax credit and I also got the power company to give me a $1000 rebate for buying an EV. So...

Help deciding on new install locations around house

If it's tough to run cable in certain areas, have him run 2 cables instead of the one. This will give you a backup cable just in case of failure or if you want to add another camera.

Dual NIC setup on your Blue Iris Machine

Leave the gateway blank. You won't need one on the private network that the 2nd NIC is on. The unidentified network is normal because this NIC will have limited connectivity.

Dual NIC setup on your Blue Iris Machine

You are correct. You would need to enable routing between the two interfaces and turn the PC into a router basically. Keep in mind that only the “public” NIC gets a default gateway in the IP settings. The private NIC (camera network) should not have a gateway configured. Sent from my iPhone...

Is there a way to cycle cameras manually in the iOS App? (e.g. swipe left or swipe right)

Weird, I just tried it. If I select a cam to view and then swipe left it moves to the next cam. Swiping right then takes you back a cam. I'm on V2.03.01 and iOS V 15.1

Is there a way to cycle cameras manually in the iOS App? (e.g. swipe left or swipe right)

Isnt there an “All cameras” group that gets created by default? Is so, long press that group in the iOS app. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Does having my ip camera send out an email for alerts “ expose” it to internet to be hacked?

That's definitely a better choice. You can search here for tips on setting up the NetTime Synch tool. Let your cameras get their time via your BI machine, the rest of the machines on your network too for that matter. All my devices talk to my NTP server internally for time.

Does having my ip camera send out an email for alerts “ expose” it to internet to be hacked?

Cameras will phone home - it differs from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only way to know for sure is to remove all Internet capability. There are many articles out there regarding some of the not so nice things the camera manufacturers do under the covers. Things like embedded root...

Slow, unuseable OpenVPN connection to Dahua NVR

You most likely need more bandwidth upstream. 12Mbps doesn't appear to be enough to support your video streams.

how to add multiple Dahua IP cams to Blue Iris?

Yes, change the IP of the first camera to something other than the default of 192.168.1.108 and once that's done, you can plug in the next camera and rinse & repeat the whole process.
