    Google.com Vulnerability that bypasses anti-virus

Not to mention the minute-by-minute, site-to-site attacks that have been going on for years now. I got this just a minute ago on Chrome trying to find ways to help a IPCT member reset a Dahua bullet with no apparent reset button according to the post but Norton intercepted it and threw up this...

    Arjun, where are ya?

Same here. For me it was Ms. Dewberry that taught....get this now.....9th grade "Human Relations." I was 15 horny years old in that class in 1964 and we got to see drawings, not real pictures, of penises and vaginas...so one HAD to use their imaginations. Suffice it to say I could easily...

Is it normal to heave two IP entries for the NVR?

Well sure, that's being smart and if you weren't sure then you did the right thing, IMO....kudos!

    The official "WTF" thread

Snakes just love tech..... From June 2023 when a rat snake got into the utility closet of garage and inspected my fiber modem. I caught and released him.

    Arjun, where are ya?

Me neither...what good was all that math, English, geography and history crap anyway...I could have really used some of the skills she could have likely imparted! :lmao:

Is it normal to heave two IP entries for the NVR?

...and no need to go to the trouble of redacting private (non-public) IP addresses such as 192.168.XXX.XXX, as we all have 'em. My fiber router is 192.168.200.1, my Blue Iris server PC is 192.168.200.250. It's the WAN (public) IP that should not be posted. It's the one that is revealed when you...

NVR with POE or separate switch?

Getting the NVR with its heat-intolerant hard drive out of the attic is a good idea but be aware that it can be noisy (HDD, fan, possible beeps, etc.) so re-consider if thinking about a occupied bedroom or the entertainment center at the TV. Also, the camera setup and IP-addressing will be...

I bet a lot of you belong to the "HVAC crapped out at the worst time" club.

So now your neighbor has some issues less than 2 weeks after you? Have you read your 120/240 to see if one or both legs are not too high? I replaced the dryer heating element in a 4 year old Maytag dryer last summer. Leading up to that it kept shutting down with a displayed error code "AF"...

    Emergency Power/Storms/Prepping etc

Met with a certified Kohler installer last week and mailed him down payment yesterday for a Kohler 26kW propane air-cooled whole house generator with 200A auto transfer switch, whole house utility company surge protection with protection policy. Engines and generators are assembled next door in...

    Progressive Liberal Hypocrisy

This is humorous, IMO but I felt it is more best suited for the political/libtard hypocrisy threads: Mel Gibson shreds Newsome and Bass on LA fires and now on mishandling of riots: Further on in the video Hanoi Jane weighs in on Trump and gets speared VERY well by comedian Michael Loftus...

    Electrical Inspection Wall Of Shame

Yep, NEC required it beginning in 1996 for new construction or re-models. Got into an argument with the "electrician" (I use the term loosely) that wired the house I had built in 2006; he put in a 3 prong receptacle in the wall for the dryer and had tied the cord's white (neutral) to the...

    Electrical Inspection Wall Of Shame

A few years ago Lowes deliverer/installer ( I decline to say "tech") reversed the hot and cold water lines to the washer.......and the handles are color-coded red and blue. He had a 50-50 chance of getting it right....

    Annke NightChroma NCPT500 ?

From the specs it does not appear to have IR (and may not even pick up IR from an external emitter) so hopefully one would have adequate ambient light at night for it, even though it's a 1/1.8" sensor on under 4MB res.

How to download snapshot on IPC-D1B20?

Is 172.30.165.188 the camera's IP address as found in its webGUI under "Network"=>"TCP/IP" settings? Are you using IE, Edge with IE Tab or Palemoon 32 bit browser? You need one of those to be able to download and install the plug-in from the camera.
