NVR poe switch camera are offline

If the cmaeras are powered by a POE switch and are NOT plugged into the POE ports of a POE NVR, then it's likely that since this happened with your "Internet upgrade" that your LAN IP is on a different subnet from before and none of the cameras are configured in the NVR with the new subnet...

Howto view Hikvision ip-camera streamvideos on iphone?

That doesn't seem right which is why a p2p topolgy is used in the first place, but since I do not use it I'll defer to someone on the forum that has more knowledge of Hik-Connect.

Can 1 cat5e power two ip cams?

Been using this 2 port POE extender for 2 years this coming June of '25 and no issues: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/using-ethernet-splitter-for-two-cameras.70282/#post-772865 This one may fit in a junction box, not sure. Several IPCT members have used these=> EmpireTech PoE Extender Mini...

Can 1 cat5e power two ip cams?

Be aware that one device mentioned above requires 2 POE ports to power 2 POE device over one cable and the other does not (it's essentially a POE-powered 2 port POE switch) so read carefully and choose which will suit your need. They make up to at least a 4 port POE-powered POE switch that has...

Reolink cameras are garbage and their reddit moderators are unprofessional trunk slammers

No, it would be a legit question if there weren't literally hundreds of threads that answer your question. Which begs another question........are you a dumbass or can you not read?

Cannot add cam to ANY software. please help. Empiretech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3

Maybe use the cam's IP with a port scanner (Fing, Angry IP, et.c) to insure the RTSP port and the ONVIF port are what they should be. Hard reset the cam again, even if you've already done it before, may be worth another.

Pretty bold statement for someone who's been here less than a day. Spend some time reading next time BEFORE you decide to make a not-so-factual statement and you'll be surprised what you learn. And no, if I were you I would not make any more assumptions.

Run ODM, insert camera's username/password into ODM and allow it to log into the camera IP that you stated is on your 10.* network." Highlight the camera in left column to make the box black. In the next column to the right, second box down you should see a live video thumbnail. Click on "Live...

setting up a Ds-2de7174-ae Hikvision camera

No IP camera stream should ever be run through a router. Configure the camera, the NVR's LAN and both wireless bridge radios (AP and station) with unique, static IP addresses in the same subnet as the router's LAN/gateway address but OUTSIDE of the router's DHCP pool. The aforementioned camera...

No argument there, good to hear this. :) That has not been my experience for some time now and I don't think that's the case with many others as well on IPCT, judging by numerous past posts.

    Outdoor ethernet cable questions

I'd protect the bare copper conductors in the CAT cable, even with no RJ-45, as moisture will wick up them much like osmosis and start the corrosion before the connector is crimped on and that's not good. I'd do as firefighter said in post #2: at least bag it and seal the bag around the cable...

Question about a camera setup in apartment

Wi-Fi cameras are not known for reliability, a requirement of any good surveillance system. Since even Wi-Fi cameras require a cord for power, why not run CAT-5e cable for POE which supplies power AND reliable video stream to/from the IP camera. The "hub" you mention could be a NVR (Network...

Clever ways to install a pinhole camera (DS-2CD6425G1)

Google "nanny cams" and look for images of smoke detectors, motion detectors, clocks and power outlets with hidden cameras. I think one of your biggest challenges will be to find a cam that will provide a compatible stream that can be fed to a NVR or a VMS PC. More...

In desperate need of an android app to remotely view

You should not have to enable RTSP in the DVR which is why I did not mention it. Under network settings, however, it would be good to note what port is being used for RTSP if it's stated, 554 being the most common.

In desperate need of an android app to remotely view

Assign the DVR's LAN a unique static IP in the same subnet as your router's LAN and the BI server but outside of the router's DHCP pool. Don't enable uPnP in the DVR or your router. In BI, for "Make", choose "Zmodo" from the drop-down menu. For "Model", choose the first one with "DVR" in the...
