    ok, that makes sense. My PC maxing out everything on high only uses 10% CPU and the Deepstack processing takes <100ms. Wind on trees seems to be my biggest issue.

    So with AI, do we need to use zones at all? I currently use no zones and it runs the whole image through AI and it works great but Ive read here that you need zones for AI to work. Or is it you only need zones if you have a certain area to monitor?

    Nothing gives me 100% reliability but DS gives me way less false alerts and rarely misses anything. Granted, I am in a suburban environment but I dont have street lights either, just IR's. If an object is in the IR, it gets tagged and alerted. If the branches move, no alert.

    Min Confidence is just the minimum level needed to trigger an alert. Setting it at 90 would rarely trigger anything since it would have to be a perfect screenshot of an object in ideal lighting, etc. Most have theirs set from 1 to 40. Start out at 50 and lower it if it is not detecting...

    Yes, create a folder in your BI location called Faces (where New, Stored, etc are located). Now go to General Settings -> Clips and Archiving and on the left side, click one of the Aux folders. Point the folder location to your faces folder and click the Aux and rename it.

    Purging cancelled alerts?

    The cancelled clips are also located in the alerts folder. Just go to General Settings -> Clips and archiving -> click Alert folder at bottom left -> check delete. I have mine saet for 1GB and/or 7 day deletion

    I have a car parked across the street. I zoned the whole image and when a car went by, it recorded 2 cars (like it should). I then unmasked the car and now when a car goes by, it only records the one car for motion and doesn't acknowledge the parked car. I'm on version 5.4.1.1
