    EmpireTech NVR8CH-8P-2AI - Setup Questions

Thanks! Question: Would removing it from the LAN - DHCP Server list - accomplish the same thing?

    EmpireTech NVR8CH-8P-2AI - Setup Questions

I have our EmpireTech NVR8CH-8P-2AI setup and and working and it does display already-networked cameras OK. We have a Loryta 4mp Starlight about 80' from the NVR (it was powered via a remote POE then data via a remote router in switch mode). It is just now directly connected via a CAT7 cable -...

Dahua NVR, DMSS and P2P - How are they connected?

Can you bypass the potential privacy and security concerns by firewalling the NVR IP and only accessing the NVR via VPN - using a web browser (on your phone) and not the app?

    Drone swarms in the northeast?

Charlie Kirk is young ... he routinely gets things out of context, or simply wrong. I don't know Steven Greer's credentials - but this has persuaded me to not rely on him for good intel.

Need good SFF PC for Blue Iris and HA

Does BI require the use of the MS version of windows #11? Or, does it work with the far more hardware-efficient, and spyware-free, Linux OS? Also, apart from the forever-bloated MS hardware demands, is a BI user likely to observe the difference between a 7th or 8th generation Intel CPU - when...

Teaser Info and Mini Review - Empiretech B52IR-X3 Triple Lens Camera

Anyone know if similar trigger rules for this camera will also work with the EmpireTech NVR8CH-8P-2AI NVR?

Need good SFF PC for Blue Iris and HA

Our son just posted a refurbished Dell OptiPlex 7050 SFF that should be more than adequate. 64g ram, i5-7500 3.40ghz, 140g SSD (for the OS & apps), 1TB HDD for storage. He has it packaged with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse - for local pickup. Even using pirateship .com I'm not sure what the pc...

    EmpireTech NV41AI-8P-4KH or NVR8CH-AI

I'm sure but once learned, and set up - at least for the basics, it should require minimal attention ... until I decide to tinker with additional features. So many projects and so little time ... there's a public-facing server, a solar-charged battery bank (to research, acquire, and install - in...

While I do like to tinker - I have so many projects going on at the same time - something has to be simplified! Thanks.

    EmpireTech NV41AI-8P-4KH or NVR8CH-AI

I suppose I can ... just wanted to be sure I could justify it for the budget. Would you say that the 5 series NVR is a better choice (features and minimal maintenance) than software on a PC?
  16. K

    EmpireTech NV41AI-8P-4KH or NVR8CH-AI

Is a 5-series NVR preferred to a software solution such as BlueIris? (I've read that they may be easier to setup, and less time-consuming to maintain.)

Probably greater tax write-off opportunities with two than with one ... we need to fix the tax code mess.

EmpireTech NVR8CH-8P-2AI ($393.99) vs EmpireTech NV41AI-8P-4KH ($189.99) If I don't care about POE capacity - is this the most important difference? Perimeter Performance AI by Recorder (Number of Channels) 4 VS 2 channels, 10 IVS rules for each channel

    EmpireTech NV41AI-8P-4KH or NVR8CH-AI

Security baseline 2.3 appears to be a Microsoft thing - but this contains embedded Linux. I'm guessing it's not functional with the included firmware.

    EmpireTech NV41AI-8P-4KH or NVR8CH-AI

Still, it would be good to know what it is, e.g. early generation i3, mid-generation i5, etc. It seems silly to hide the specs with a meaningless marketing term.

    Notice the Amazon strike?

Amazon would not exist, at least not as a major corporation, were it not for a big business-favoring corporate-welfare tax code (Federal) and short-sighted (some corrupt) State & City folks selling-out the future with long-term tax breaks for Amazon in return for vote-buying jobs. I can't find...

    Drone swarms in the northeast?

A spy satellite could peek in your window and ID a fly on a piece of toast decades ago - what mega-corporations and the military have is light years ahead of what's on the consumer and small-corporation market today.

    Drone swarms in the northeast?

They're not alien - there's no such thing. It's US, an enemy, or some consortium of mega-wealthy corporations flexing muscle. If our military is so incompetent and ill-equipped that it can't take down a massive spy balloon wandering across the country from top secret site to top secret site -...

    Drone swarms in the northeast?

Elon Musk has observed that it's about impossible to imagine the $36 trillion dollars of debt that has been foisted on America's children and grandchildren by careless and corrupt (often elderly) politicians. It seems equally 'almost impossible' to imagine the layers of lies that this regime...

Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.)- is tied to this untrustworthy regime - he's to be expected to deliver their propaganda. Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas) - isn't tied to this regime - he's more likely to be honest with us (though the China thing is just his hunch).

    Drone swarms in the northeast?

So, mis-leaders across the West allow 100's of thousands of military-age males (from known-terrorist and anti-West countries) to enter their countries. They don't vette them nor do they keep track of them. Bio-weapons and radioactive dirty-bomb materials suddenly go-missing (some others were...
