No real difference except PB should be retail packaged, whilst SB is oem packaged. Both should come with 36m warranty though. But to be sure, double check with whoever you’re buying with.
Surprisingly (or maybe not), considering the significance and the number of pieces of equipment potentially impacted worldwide, the story’s been on a bit of a slow burn.
The cable you need is Dell P/N 0HG2F3 (or just HG2F3).
Or if you don’t have the cage and caddy as well, how about something like:

There’s a new version, 5.5.800_210816 for the E7S on the European Portal.
http://www.hikvisioneurope.com/portal/?dir=portal/Technical%20Materials/00%20%20Network%20Camera/00%20%20Product%20Firmware/E7%20platform%20%281X43G0E%29/E7S
I totally agree that most users are blissfully unaware of these issues but for those of us who do want to know this stuff, Hikvision do not make it easy.
For example, if I go to the local UK website there is currently no mention of anything relating to CVE-2021-36260 under support >> cyber...
The Optiplex 7040 SFF takes low profile cards and it has one PCIe 3.0 16x slot (the other is 4x). That Nvidia Quadro T600 pictured has a low profile bracket on it with 4 mini-DisplayPort connectors, so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t physically fit in your SFF machine.
The only other thing...
Thank you @watchful_ip for your thorough investigation and pursuing the matter.
Now Hikvision need to properly disseminate the information and get the fixes available throughout their various worldwide sites and to the OEMs.
Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be any easy way. Let’s see if anyone more knowledgeable in the ways of Hikvision are aware of something.
Ultimately I think the only way to get the stock firmware is if Annke are willing to provide it or happen to release an updated version.
@db0511 Did you ever manage to get a copy of the original Annke stock firmware, or was it just a one-way journey once you put the Hikvision E7S firmware on the I51DM?
I was looking on the UK Hikvision site and under the NVR section it is showing that the various Pro Series, without AcuSense, NI-I2 and NI-I4 devices are all EOL.
I wonder if a new range is due to be introduced or if they intend to push their NXI AcuSense models?
I thought the Annke N48PBB was one of their Hikvision oem NVRs.
Oh, there’s a picture of the mainboard in the Nozomi article:
It says on it DS-80325_P.
Here are Annke’s instructions for activating your camera, which is essentially the same as for Hikvision:

I noticed there’s a newer firmware, V4.20.002 build 210705, for the Hikvision PoC DVRs. Prior to this the most recent firmware was V4.20.001 build 190430.
The firmware is not available on the portal sites yet but is instead on the global Hikvision site, just listed under the product...
Also the DS-7204HUHI-K1/P does support H.265+ video encoding. So, if you haven’t already done so, have a look at the possibility of switching that on to see how much the data storage requirements are reduced by when factoring the size of replacement drive you need.
I guess you’re talking about the European and UK site as that is down and there is a holding page that says the domain is owned by one of their customers.
It has gone offline before. It should be back online once Hikvision rectify whatever is wrong.
If you’re really desperate you can try...
If you don’t fancy replacing the plug or splicing in your old lead, how about something like:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/KFD-injector-GS116Ev2-Ethernet-SoundPoint/dp/B07QQB9XW3
See if one of the plugs / tips they include is the right size. Also, make sure you check the polarity when selecting the...
I did upgrade the firmware on a C500 I51DM a while ago as it had a really annoying issue where the picture would freeze every so often for a few seconds on either live view or playback. As the I51DM uses the Hikvision E7S, there was only one firmware available on the Hikvision Europe portal that...
I’d be interested to find out more about these but I don’t know anyone who has used the TP-Link VIGI range yet as it’s relatively new. I can’t even find any proper reviews yet but TP-Link have added a number of YouTube videos on them.
The range currently only consists of two camera models and...
