    I'm using the latest Zuum "Firmware Update 200907" which is basically Dahua. The web GUI doesn't have the Dahua logo, but otherwise everything works as expected.

    Mountin camera in soffit

    Try mounting the camera temporarily at the edge of soffit to prevent IR light reflection or adjacent to the recessed light. I get that you want to avoid perhaps fading of the dome plastic from the suns rays. This way you avoid making unnecessary holes.

    I have the same camera and also forgot the password. I can see the serial # info on uniview "EZ Tools" I didn't add this camera to the cloud to retrieve password as this is an unbranded cam and uses star4live to gain access for password.

    uniview firmware

    All of my Uniview ip cameras are updated on the menu under System and afterwords maintenance under cloud upgrade. Takes approximately 2 minutes to update the latest firmware.
