    I tried to update using the web service/IE and it failed.I downloaded it here,https://dahuawiki.com/Thermal/DHI-NVR5216-16P-I_Firmware_Guide.Unzipped the file and feed it to the web service under the System-Upgrade tab.

    I might look into doing a fw update first and see how that goes.I came up with the idea that it might be the power supply getting weak,so tried to add the camera with the other 3 unplugged.Then I opened up the nvr box,reseated all the plugs and looked for anthing unusual on th board,i.e. swelled...

    OK,did that.It left the nvr gui on its own.Deleted it from the web service and hitting refresh .Its on the web gui and nve gui againon port 5

    I have my replacement camera.It came a little late today.I'm going to make another attempt in the morning. Not sure what approach to take,adding it the 1st time.Maybe do a NVR shutdown,Plug it in and restart? Is there a preferred procedure?I'm rereading the Quick Start Guide.Later

    Tried that again,tried a couple more cables.Tried my old camera and it won't even show up in the nvr gui. I appreciate all the trouble shooting help.Looks like I need to contact Andy.

    I'm not using my main cabling.Using some shorter patch cables I use to troubleshoot etc.I'll try a different cable.The original camera was sending "10.1.1.65 Can not find the network host",but would usually come back online until one day it didn't .

    To be clear,I went to the web service,clicked the lower half pencil for that cam,put my new password in,pushed connect/ok,pressed refresh numerous times. Still nothing.Where tha cams image would be on monitor,it reads"10.1.1.65 Can not find the network host"

    Yes did the Full Factory reset.Used Admin when asked for old password.Now using Admin/nvrnvr23 to login to nvr gui. .All old cams are online.New camera not online,but recognized.

    I'm just thinking.The cameras default user/ password would b e admin/admin?However admin/admin doesn't work on the nvr login gui anymore for whatever reason.I made a new admin password and use it now.This is why I usually change it using the lower pane edit (pencil icon) popup box.

    I'm trying that now and it looks like the new camera is still not coning online.I tried the using the default password and the one I use on the nvr gui.Went to the lower pencil pressed "connect" then "OK".Amessage poppes like always,'Successfully Operated!"
