I was looking for a simple windows software GUI that I could control Dahua PTZ's without logging into each browser for every camera or smart PSS that wouldn't take up much screen space for a project I am working on.
I came across a nice little program called EZPTZ by ALEC BENNETT AND GIZMOWARE...
You can use rpisurv - SvenVD/rpisurv
It works great and will restart if you disconnect, even if a camera feed goes down it will continue to try and reconnect.
I have tried many different PTZ's with the new AI algorithm for wildlife and they are too smart.. lol
They work great for what they are designed for, stopping false alarms, but no longer good for "trail cams "
Even with object filter turned off, and no matter what IVS rule you use it does not...
Are you using a NVR ?
My DMSS notifications have stopped as well when using the NVR on the app. I have tried deleting reinstalling, re subscribing, just about everything without succsess.
If you push from the camera directly it seems to work. I'm sure the last update broke it..
lol - Yea this is higher than most would install, it is used for a critter cam and no plate capture required for them.
It is on a side hill so to the left of the ladder goes uphill and right downhill.
Has anyone figured out the message system yet??
If you let the VTO ringer time out when pressing the call button you are able to leave a message at the end by pressing the button to leave a message. ( if it is on in the settings )
It will show up on the VTH as a missed call. I was able to...
Are you able to answer a call outside of the network?
I rang the VTO and the push to phone said it couldn't answer because not on wifi ?
If no one answers the VTO ring it says you can leave a message, is this stored on SD card? And where to play back?
@Wildcat_1
Incorrect - For me idle motion does NOT work if it is triggered by another cam.
It will work if you just move to a idle position but not if triggered by another cam to a preset.
That's with a FW update and full factory reset on the camera and NVR.
I have several PTZ's and the...
When a IVS rule is set up and SMD enabled the SMD is tagged but the autotracking does not follow any targets triggered by the IVS rule.
As soon as motion detection is turned off the AT resumes.
The idle motion is getting "stuck" when triggered by a spotter cam and will not return to a preset. If you just move it to a preset or turn the cam and leave it then will work but not when called up.
The IVS tagging on the timeline is very inconsistent and will rarely tag when tripped. I think...
After playing around with this cam all morning I was able to get the the idle motion to start working again. I have had issues with other PTZ's using this with the call up feature.
What I am not able to get is the IVS mark to show up on the timeline ( blue line) when you search with NVR NVR...
@aabs
I have tested this cam and like most dahua cams it does not return with idle motion.
The work around is to use Time Task. It sucks because you have to pick the right amount of time as not to interfere with what the subject is that tripped the IVS
Yes it looks like the 203 for that cam..
Buy on Amazon / ebay -- a bit cheaper
