    We have coyotes too, but it's the gophers in the vegetable garden that ruin my life. The bigger chicken threat by me is foxes. They easily jump the fences that coyotes either can't or don't.

    You need to say what you're installing it in. I don't do this often enough to give specific advice, but at the high level, I believe the answer is if it's an NVR just plug it in and go, and if it's BI you need to do some additional configuration work.

    Newer firmware doesn't fix the camera shutting off the NVR schedule, so I guess I have indeed stumbled onto a quirk. Maybe its other users are on BI where it's not an issue? I shut off the weekly auto reboot which should eliminate the problem for me, and since I do almost all the viewing on BI...

    Got it. Mine is the TPC124X-AI-S2. With the BI machine off, I reset and confirmed the schedule settings in the NVR, rebooted the camera, and kept pinging the NVR schedule. At the end of the camera boot cycle, the NVR schedule changed. There's a newer firmware on Andy's web site that I guess...

    I often log into cameras with Brave, and in general it works pretty well. I'm not able to say if every single thing works, and I always have IE available if need be. With the 541R and Brave, the plugin is needed.
