Dahua NVR5208-XI (WizMind) — worth it or better options?

both working stable... simply official firmware for -XI is 12-18 months behind (feature wise)... there are unofficial (customs) firmwares for XI, with added some missing features (mostly AcuPick 2.0)... for -EI is available beta of next generation (5.0 NextGUI) Dahua firmware with totally new...

Dahua NVR5208-XI (WizMind) — worth it or better options?

I have both -EI and -XI (but 608-XI not 5xxx-XI).. main difference between 5xxx-EI and 5xxx-XI is that -XI have much more AI performance onboard NVR.. But this is important only for AI DONE on NVR... IF you do some AI on camera (IVS, FaceDetect, VideoMetaData, AcuPick etc), there is NO...

Dahua NVR5208-XI (WizMind) — worth it or better options?

-XI have higher -AL limits, for processing done on NVR. For AI done on cameras - there is no difference... You can look at cheaper 5xxx-EI line, or new 5xxx-EI2 (2x more AI)...

Dahua NVR5208-XI (WizMind) — worth it or better options?

    1. what cameras you want to use with this NVR? 2. what AI features you want to use? 3. why only 8 channels - very limiting - you should start from 16 chanel version...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

My mistake - they looked for me very bad (not like TIOC-PRO)... I didn't notice that they are in smartphone proportions (not 16:9)

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

T54IR is a sensitive color camera which can work at night in color mode - and comparison is highly recommended - with the same external white street lighting (no onboard white light usage on white light models)... Especially that T54IR is a benchmark on this forum... Everyone knows this model...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

It's hard to tell anything based on those 2 pictures... any comparison pictures to 54IR / Color4K / TIOC-PRO at the same location / direction / shutter speed & camera parameters? pictures from different locations / angles? movies with human / car motion? :)

    Hikvision as a brand

This is what good camera with big sensor & good telephoto optics can do with car plates at day & night... ask your installer for something similar ;)

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

At this moment we know that WizMind-S 5442-S3 cams will NOT receive any new features in firmware (it's 2.5 years from release date).. And some features don't work very well due limited SOC power (lots of false positives in IVS/AcuPick/VideoMetaData modes)... AcuPick (first 1.0, then 2.0 year...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

    One more interesting information - firmware size: TIOC-PRO 3449-PRO: 210MB, WizSense-S 5442-S3: 332MB (170 + 164 for firmware.bin), new 5459 (-PRO & -IL): 791MB (120 + 671 for firmware.bin), WizSense-X 7442-X: 1025MB (155 + 870 for firmware.bin), Base compressed firmware with V5...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Yes, SmartSens sensors (taken from TIOC-PRO / HIK ColorVu) used in WizColor 5x59-PRO series are cheaper and more noisy ones.. OmniVision ones (from 5442) used in Smart Dual Light 5x59-IL are much more sensitive and noise is very different from them...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Two more differences: - varifocal WizColor 5x59-PRO will have P-Iris. P-Iris is ability to close aperture in good light condition for better Depth of Field - to cancel limited DoF for open F1.2 aperture... In Smart Dual Light 5x59-IL line only telephoto Z4E model will have this feature...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

why sad? if you don't need white light, you simply use IR part.. white light is very configurable in those cams (like in TIOC and TIOC-PROs)... lenses looks the same... Please remember no one (even Andy) didn't have in hands any cam from the second Dual Light 5x59-IL line (where is Z4E...

    2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

It looks like 5x59-IL SmartDual cams lineup have 4 / 5 / 8 Mpx models but 5x59-PRO WizColor cams lineup have 4 / 6 / 8 Mpx models.. There are differences in WDR specification (120/130/140 db) between lines, so my theory is that 5x59-IL SmartDual cams are using OmniVision sensors used before in...
