PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR
this PTZ is using Taurus firmware / SOC... the same as most old Full Color cams (and 180 degree one). This SOC was always very underperforming in AI. On All my 180 degree cams IVS don't work as it should. Ask Andy for 2023 or 2022 firmware for this PTZ. Dahua in 2024 added AcuPick & AutoPatrol... -

because all focal lengths data given by Dahua or HIK are not true.. the only data we always should check are FoV data = how big horizontal / vertical Field of View is.. this is the only true (or almost true) data about camera / lenses in cctv world... -

this is true... and not :) true - yes changing sensor size you must change focal length to have the same FOV.. basic of optics... false - because focal lengths we use with cctv cams (like 2.8mm or 3.6mm) are not true focal lengths.. but calculated / virtual ones to one unified cctv sensor... -

NVRs are very underpowered devices (comparing to modern intel/AMD servers), based on ARM integrated processors (SOCs) developed for mobile world.. Those 'channel maxed' NVRs are more for situation when someone will need to add a few more cams over half limit of lower model and not fills them up...- steve1225

so 0.5 mbit is for second stream.. FPS don't matter for NVR network bandwidth limit... but higher FPS with the same low bitrate decreases video quality (more video frames must fit into the same bandwidth)... ps. man, those bandwidth informations are BASICS... I don't know what type of...- steve1225

Max bitrate is 5120 kbit (5 mbit) on both.. plus there is sub stream (around 0.5 mbit?), which you didn't showed.. NVR can allocate 5 mbit/s (plus sub stream) for each cam.. and simply don't allow for more that 768 / (5 + 0.5) = around 140 cams...- steve1225

you can use hik connect.. but I don't think it will work 24/7 without any problems... apps (mobile/desktop) from hik / Dahua are very bad... most stable 24/7 cam live view is what NVRs have over HDMI.. it simply works...- steve1225

ok... you have very extreme situation here.. But even here you can play with HLC.. or exposure compensation... and HDR on 3449 will compensate this much better that 5449. -

Simply don't use WDR / SSA.. On those WizColor cams they are not needed and they are degradation to new WizColor video processing (they disable it). -

I played with many WIzColor cams at different locations. They when used in 'normal' (not WDR or SSA) mode, are using totally new video processing algorithms, taken from mobile & sport camera world... Algorithm with always enabled full frame HDR, strong local gamma manipulation, LUT color... -

this is a video noise, result of low light, short exposure time, high ISO (analog gain on image sensor) and LOW noise reduction settings... if this PTZ model behave bad (we have here confirmation from many users), You should ask Andy to report this to Dahua... Also ask Andy to check for custom firmware version for this PTZ. SD5 is very popular line (something comparable to WizMind-S in fixed cams) - I'm 100% sure, there are many... -
Best indoor and outdoor cameras from Dahua ?
you can use them everywhere, except places where you need strong optical zoom (due big distance - like from gate to building). For good camera with strong telephoto zoom, you need to choose 5442-Z4E (Dahua) / 54IR-Z4E (Andy shop) (2x-6x optical zoom comparing to mobiles).
