Dahua eyeball camera mounting - it sees too much of my wall. Any advice for installation/mounting?

Rotate the part with the locking screw in it counter clockwise and the ball can be moved more. The screw does not have to be on the bottom.

    Paxvigo EBF810

With my poor eyes, I see no difference. I wouln't mind seeing that $79.xx Paxvigo sale price again. You started this crap and I fell for it but have no regrets at all as I fell in love with having overview cameras. Check back on the Annke thread. I think they are just trying to unload a bunch...

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

WAIT WAIT WAIT! Research carefully. The ebay link provided got me excited but though it says it is model FCD800 it also lists it as MPN I51DX and that it has IR and has 2×1/2.5" Progressive Scan CMOS. These specs make it look more like the FCD600 which still on sale on their website for $89.99...

    Paxvigo EBF810

This test video made me laugh. I was playing with the Paxvigo in color with the default settings. I guess I forgot that I had my invisibility cloak on. Both the Paxvigo and Annke are fair at night in color using the LED lights (with proper settings) but I prefer the IR for further visibility...

    Paxvigo EBF810

Here I found that mounting 8 ft high takes care of the round earth effect which is pretty obvious at 12 ft high. I did leave them at 12 ft though.

    Paxvigo EBF810

Love them! In the setup the Pax is know as model NC801 vs the Annke is 151DX The Pax resolution is 4096*1820 and the Annke is 3632*1632 and they don't appear to be changeable. Both have the same V5.7.10 firmware but the Pax build date is July 2023 vs June for the Annke. Both have same Web...

Wifi cameras that do NOT require an app at any stage of deployment

I have a couple Amcrest IP2M-841B cams that I sometimes use wired and wireless with Blueiris and do not recall ever having an ap when initially setting them up.

Is this Cat 6 cable any good?

It is a reputable company and is sold in the North America by Lowes and Home Depot at higher price. All cat6 has the inner core and is not hard to handle. Doing tight bends is BAD for any ethernet cable. Ignore that 1 comment about it being hard to bend. The price is good also.

Dahua POE NVR and cameras over wireless bridge

I have purchased quite a few of the Loco's in the past and bought the kits that included the 24v injectors but see they are hard to find anymore. In my searching I did find that Bhphoto does still have a deal on the Litebeam M5 units (which are great aslo) for $49. each and they still include...

    Review-SD4A425DB-HNY 1/2.8" CMOS 4MP 25x Starlight Auto-tracking MiniPTZ

I suspect it is nothing to worry about. I brought mine inside because I am trying another camera at that location. A couple hours ago I fired it up in a 72 degree room and the camera is now displaying 109 deg. The fan is visible above the lens (seen in photo) and starts about 5 seconds after...

    Is this a good camera?

Annke, made by Hikvision is a reputable company. To use that camera at night and in color mode the LED lights are going to attract a lot of attention if you have neighbors within 1/2 mile. If you use the IR lighting at night you will not attract attention. You can get a camera with near the same...

    Review-SD4A425DB-HNY 1/2.8" CMOS 4MP 25x Starlight Auto-tracking MiniPTZ

My 4A425 is at 104 deg now with outside temp 65 deg and rain. I do have a 49225 that is 116 deg now. It has always ran hotter and pushed from 140-155 during sunny days. If memory serves me right, the 425 has a fan in it that you may want to bench test to confirm that it is working.
