    NVR and Portable Hard Drive

    Hello guys, I'm trying to upgrade my old CCTV system to a 4k Dahua system. I want to know if I can use a portable hard drive only with the Dahua NVR instead of an internal hd. I have a 4TB lying aroud Any quick advice would be much appreciated.
