    Site Display Issues?

I had that issue this morning on my laptop chrome browser. A quick refresh and it was OK. My question is what’s with the increase of ads everywhere over the past week or so??!! It seems like the size and frequency of ads on this site has doubled.

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

There are additional brightness and shadows adjustments in the advanced display settings if you change 'Color Day Mode' and/or 'Black & White' from Auto to Manual. Maybe playing with that will help....?

POE ONVIF compatible doorbell with WiFi/poe chimes

Read this thread, there's a bunch of talk about a few of us using Reolink doorbells (POE and Wifi) with existing mechanical chimes. In my situation I had two doorbells (front door and side door) and two mechanical chimes (one upstairs one downstairs). Each chime would make a different tone...

High CPU usage running 4 cameras

THIS. You say you're running a version of BI that's over 2 years old. Might be a good time to upgrade. I also seem to recall reading somewhere around here when I was setting up my Reolink DB cams that BI added the Reolink DB support in the config dropdown, hence why yours is a 'Generic...

    Does AI ever 100% recognize?

I was referring to the individual trigger being 100%. I have stood directly in front of my camera, on a nice clear day, with a nice clear picture, and AI is still only ~90% sure. Are you using Deepstack or CPAI? I'm curious, how you have your AI alerts setup - mine sends 3 images 2 seconds...

    Does AI ever 100% recognize?

My 10 year old daughter asked what I thought was an interesting question about our cameras and AI recognition/detection. She asked if our cams [running CPAI 2.5 and looking only for ‘person’ and ‘vehicle’] ever would recognize at 100%? After explaining to her why AI would likely NEVER be 100% I...

I don't use sub streams. Haven't had a need to use them so far.

High CPU usage running 4 cameras

For reference, my BI machine is a i7-6700 @ 3.4GHz with 16BGB of RAM and WIN10. I have 2x reolink doorbell cams, 2x 4MP empire tech cams, and 1x 8MP (actually it's a T180 which is 2x 4MP in one). None of them are running sub streams. Continuous recording at 15FPS CPU usage is at 20-25%. I...

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

I still need to do some testing and tweaking. We don’t get too many sunny days this time of the year

I bought a mounting block off eBay for maybe $15 that goes over the siding.

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

I had a similar issue but was able to get a better image by adjusting the brightness, contrast, etc. Your adjustment options are very limited.

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

Thanks for the reminder. I’ve been meaning to post my update for a week or so now and I keep forgetting. I think I have a solution for your issue with the chime sounding weird but it will take a timing relay that is driven by the output of the 433MHz wireless module. When the button is pressed...

Looking for a decent doorbell camera that works with BI

Do both of your door bells use the same transformer and two separate chimes? I have 2 non-camera door bells that I’d like to switch out to Reolinks but want to use the two existing chimes which make different tones depending of which doorbell button was pressed. My transformer only has 2 wires...

On April 8, 2024, the contiguous United States will witness its last total solar eclipse for the next 20 years

Gosh I hope that’s the case here. This total eclipse sure seems to be getting a lot of publicity but maybe that’s because the last one didn’t come through Ohio. Looking at traffic maps following the 2017 eclipse most states west of the Mississippi were spared of heavy congestion, probably thanks...

On April 8, 2024, the contiguous United States will witness its last total solar eclipse for the next 20 years

I'm directly in the path of totality, like smack dab in the center of the path. I'm looking forward to seeing it. My kids have the day off school and I'm excited for them to experience it as well. What I'm NOT looking forward to is the flood of visitors that are supposed to flock to our very...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

I just wanted to add for anyone wondering what the 'Decoder Compatibility' setting is, this is from the BI help page. I did not see a big increase in CPU load after enabling, maybe 1-2% max increase.

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

Just over 24hrs and zero drop outs since enabling decoder compatibility. Today I'm going to try changing bitrate and frame rate to one of the more 'un-stable' configurations from my table in post #49 and see if there's any change.

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

6 hours since enabling decoder compatibility and ZERO drop outs. I did not disable ONVIF "login verification". I think we've found a winner! I let this go overnight to be sure and check back in the morning.

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

Thank you for following up! This is promising news. I'll give this a try now, first with enabling 'decoder compatibility mode' to also help rule out one vs. the other and report back. My bitrate/frame rate test from post #49 didn't turn out to be much as the drop outs have been steadily...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

Since I previously seemed to have (somewhat) narrowed the issue down to a framerate or bitrate issue, I've been doing more testing over the last couple week. I tested the camera at multiple framerates, bitrates, and encoder compression settings. Below is a table of my findings. In all cases I...

    Wall mount bracket

Yes, your camera can be turned and mounted in the direction as shown in the pictures. Maybe someone will come along here with a better description. I'm new to this too but have mounted a few of these cameras with the wall mount (and other mounting) brackets. Your setup consists of the wall...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

Here are my settings. Haven't been able to put my finger on any one thing that breaks it. I also ruled out any apparent wiring/communication issues aside from BI and camera compatibility, etc. Seems to be pretty stable for me now so I think I'll stop before I break it again :)

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

I last reset the status counters 5 days ago. Yesterday morning (just around 4 days of runtime) there were a total of 14 Loss of Signal errors. As of this morning at day 5 there are now 23 errors. The only adjustments I've made were to bump the FPS down to 10 but then back up to 15 (as...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

My settings are essentially the same as yours except I'm using H.264 and not H.264H, 15FPS framerate and I Frame, and 4096 bit rate. The sub stream is disabled. I bumped the frame rate and I Frame from 15 down to 10 for testing purposes. It ran for about an hour and zero NO SIGNAL errors...

    IPC-Color4K-T and IPC-Color4K-T180 230227 Firmware

What I meant was, in addition to the stated best practices in the cliff notes and various threads related to camera setup, what features specific to this camera did he off load to BI to get his camera stable. I have another thread going (linked a few posts above) related to NO SIGNAL errors...

IPC-Color4K-T180 Intermittent 'No Signal' in BI

Since turning off the watchdog, I've tried to look at replays to find IF I'm still getting the blips, and for how long, but this isn't exactly easy to find. Before I would wait for the NO SIGNAL to pop up and could replay to that time stamp, but without the watch dog I'm watching through...
