4500 works on my iPad mini except from time to time I cannot connect to my second camera. The first works consistently.

    Internet Access to my cameras

Yes, canyouseeme.org reports success to both 8000 and 554. I'm going back and forth on my iPhone, wifi to cellular. wifi works, cellular fails. My router and modem are separate.

I added the RTSP port, 554 but I still get 'Connection failed' from my iPhone when I attempt Live View. I can connect from my local network but not when connected externally.

Thanks for your quick response. I have a DS-7608NI-E2/8P (firmware v3.3.2 build 150522) with two DS-2CD2332-1 (firmware V5.2.0 build 140721) cams. I can access both cams via the NVR. I have Virtual Host enabled. UPnP not enabled DDNS not enabled Cloud not enabled NVR IP: 192.168.1.13 Default...

    Internet Access to my cameras

Hey guys, I would like to start this thread to hopefully obtain help to solve my lack of access to my cameras from the internet. I would like to access my cameras from my mobile devices, iPhone and iPad primarily. I have one question after viewing multiple threads about Port Forwarding. I'm...

How did you set it up? I tried this with no luck.

    My first attempts have failed..

Thanks. While playing around yesterday I believe I did this but did not realize until you pointed it out. :) What does the email received with 'EVENT TYPE:traverse plane'? Is this the email from crossing detection?

    My first attempts have failed..

I got crossing/intrusion detection to work with emails (somewhat). I'm still playing with the sensitivity controls though. My wife just left the house and walked within the defined areas and nothing was recorded. I configured crossing/intrusion detection via the NVR under EVENTS/SMART EVENT. I...

    My first attempts have failed..

Oh right you did mention virtual host in your initial post, sorry. Virtual host works for me as well. I can only receive emails from motion detection configured via the NVR and thought I needed to configure email directly via the camera interface to get Line Cross and Intrusion detection to...

Sounds like your network configuration may be all local and your cameras are not on the .254 network?

    My first attempts have failed..

Just to confirm, are you saying via the camera GUI to set the default gateway to 192.168.1.13 which is my NVR? It's still not working. The only setting I did not have or try previuosly was the router setting. I set it as you suggested, Destination network 192.168.254.0 (yes, it's a zero)...

    My first attempts have failed..

-- I may also want to access the camera from the internet so I guess port forwarded would be required? I will think on this requirement. If I get the email with attachment there may not be a need to access the camera in the manner.

    My first attempts have failed..

I have Virtual Host and can access the camera. This is not an issue. Email motion works from the NVR but I'd like to receive emails for line crossing/intrusion detection and these settings are only available via the camera's interface but I cannot get mail to work from the camera's interface...

Must the camera be on the .254 network? Can I configure it to be on the 192.168.1 network?

    My first attempts have failed..

I recently purchased 2 DS-2CD2332-1 cameras and a DS-7608NI-E2/8P. I've been trying to get a few things working... Access the camera from my iPhone while away from my home, not connected to my local network. Send myself an email when motion is detected within the area I defined, with a copy...
