    Correct. An auto script running on a Raspberry Pi that updates my sub domain using a CPanel api every hour. Set up in conjunction with PiVpn and Wireguard.

    A low cost option I can recommend for a VPN is to use a Raspberry Pi. I also have a script running on the RPi that auto updates my dns which means I am not reliant on a DDNS service.

    It would be hard to argue against the fun and flexibility offered by the pi which were two of the reasons I chose that route over a new router. Plus I was happy with my current router. Gigabit is no problem with the Pi 4 but I agree that you need to consider what is the right option for you.
