bullet or dome for exposed vertical wall mount?

RainX? It really does help. Use turret's for situations like that. Every company makes them and the IR and lenses are separate, less spider webs over the lense.

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

I know what a motorize varifocal is. You don't understand that you can digitally zoom a high pixel density without loss of clarity on a lessor dense monitor. IE you can use it as a PTZ after it's recorded. Basically you've not used BI to it's potential and never used a real CMS. BI is almost as...

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

I don't want a PTZ, I want a fixed camera that acts like a PTZ and can be used that way in review. Record the full field of view, PeterTedZed Later.

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

Nope, I think you are making up your own stats. Cameras are cheap, the people that use BI install it themselves. They always want to add another camera. Basically I'm done for the night. I think you've lost touch. Anyone that brings up GPU's get's instantly crushed and called "Stupid" by the...

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

Your responses tell me you are stuck in the 2000's and don't understand the difference when you digitally zoom a 2mp vs a 4mp vs a 8mp camera. You don't even make sense.

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

Reading this forum, I doubt that is true. With either Radeon or Nvidia acceleration sales would double. People that use BI are not interested in low performance or they would just by a ready made NVR.

And you are right, most of the things you say are right on the money. Sometimes you say the dumbest shit that makes me think you are a 20 year old in your parents basement that installed his first surveillance system for his cousin so he could watch his house get TP'd. It's not a safe space.

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

I agree, I have not, I figured it was coming at some point. The only person on this forum that seems "not" to want it is you. Back awhile ago when IntelHD was added, it was a good 1st step. Any one that disagrees with your posts gets called "Stupid". Sorry, I disagree with you.

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

Frankly, why should Blue Iris conform to your interpretation of what it should become? Because you are a moderator of a forum you publicly say the author doesn't watch? You do a really good job helping people on here out. BUT, you discourage a lot of possible subscribers and BI users by...

    Is BI GPU enabled?

I don't know about that, it does have it's uses in small commercial operations. You CAN run 4-6 cameras at 20 - 30 frames on just about any I7 hardware with HA. Works great, and any one can taught to review and to save clips, motion detection works better then million dollar systems. It's the...

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

I understand everything you just said. Some of the "Amazon" cameras are not real Hikvisions. 20fps is good for any situation. Required to use 30fps for cash handling and could never be used in at work, LOL. Well, Actually I do, Re-read the last post, 30fps, with 1 camera, with perfect audio. If...

    Is BI GPU enabled?

Frankly, Axis Sucks, has issues with multicast unless using Pelco Enduro or other very commercial offerings. Pelco is even worse, Pelco Sarix can't survive a power failure, if you have 50 on a vlan an reboot the switch 5 will die and require re-flashing... Actually migrating to Vivotek, and...

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

I do this for a living. Some cashiers, that do large sums of money per day can "Fan Count" bills faster then 10 a second. The higher resolutions can allow you to identify people at a distance. Minimum regulatory FPS for cash handling in Indiana is 30 frames, 15 will work in most instances. I...

    Is BI GPU enabled?

I agree, except 4mp is a huge improvement and frankly, if you look on amazon, there are not very many 2mp cameras for sale anymore. When you find them, they cost the same.

Hardware verification for 15 to 20 cameras

Not everybody cares that the system will consume 2 dollars more electricity per month, or costs $900.00. FPS "does" matter, MP "does" matter when you are using this BI for security you CAN NOT RUN LESS THEN 15 FRAMES. Small mom and pop stores run BI and need to see when their employees count...

    Is BI GPU enabled?

There is a need for "power hungry cards", some of us do run more then 12 cameras at 15 frames and a decent bit rate. Frankly Intel HD with quicksync is only available on lower powered consumer processors. Not holding my breath because the leader of this forum is promoting "Freeze Frame" video...

Can Blue Iris REALLY handle this job?

24 2-megapixel at 30frames on an I-7 6700k or better, 8 gigs of ram will work fine. No video card needed. You will need at least 2 6tb hard drives for decent retention. I agree with the other posters. 15 frames is all you need and you won't notice a real difference. You need to read the posts...

    Blue Iris Hardware Recommendations

It's pretty simple. Blue Iris supports "Quick Sync", look at Intel's website. It was a good decision on the authors part. Less power. No adding a GPU will not help. Before you get all, "2000 Cuda Cores" on us, it's simple, you don't need those for H264. It's a dedicated NVR, not a game machine.

    BlueIris memory leak?

What do you mean by "onboard graph card"? You do mean the built in Intel® HD Graphics 530 on the 6700k chip. Correct? AMD/Nvidia are not supported for HA on Blue Iris, though I wish they were.

    Blue Iris Support - reachable?

It is pretty simple, most software this quality, in this buisness costs much more then $60.00 a year. I gladly pay it. Most of my questions are answered here. I don't think I've ever used support.

    Time-Lapse Recording

If you are serious about creating time-lapse videos, I would recommend the software from IPTimelapse | Webcam and Time-Lapse software for IP cameras and Canon DSLR cameras. You can see an example of this in use at: Crowder Farms - Web Cams

    BI computer choice

That's pretty good considering the 6TB drive uses 5.3w and the 4TB drive uses 4.1w; 9.4w total, WD Purple 6TB Surveillance Hard Drive Review, and the NVR4208/4216/4232(-8P)-4K... It's possible.

Google ONVIF Device manager and see if it can find your cameras, if your cameras support ONVIF it will show you the correct settings to enter into Blue Iris.
