Hi Jeremy, I didn't take the risk. These devices perform actually fantastic for what I need them and for their price. Sorry to see them bricked. I assume they can be revived but that probably takes more complex interfaces/boot options etc. I can't help you there. All the best, Patrick

Thanks!. These are useful details on the camera. It is comparable now. And yes, price/performance is a bit off compared with the 5442. For me it is a choice between these 2.

Hi, I looked and searched here but didn't find any review or feedback on the above camera, available at Andy. It's pricey, but the light sensitivity is pretty OK and I like the detail during the day. It avoids me hanging many different cams in view. Anyone with experience ?. Thoughts ...

Success ! I took the deep dive on the NVR4104-P-4KS2 , with firmware version 3.xx from 2018, which didn't auto-update to DH_NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000003.1.R.200813. What a difference this makes. Great look and feel. All information from this discussion very much appreciated. Thx, Patrick
