I've only ever used genuine SD cards from Sandisk. All 4 have burned out. I can reformat them on the PC but the door camera will no longer initialize after using them for several weeks.

Could you post what the default settings are? I made changes by mistake and I forgot what the original settings were. My SD card died after 3 months. I was using a non endurance card. I bought a new card now which is high endurance. Hopefully, that lasts longer.

For recording what settings/ bitrate/ frame rate do you guys recommend to extend the lifespan of the microSD card?

Camera lens cleaner. Helps repel dirt and dust.

Thanks David. The newest hikvision firmware seems to be a tad quicker. Maybe wifi connection has been improved. Not sure but I'm liking this firwmare. My 2 way audio works perfectly also.

It's the power supply, it happened before. You need a 24v 40VA transformer. Or an 18v plug in power supply with more Amperage.
