Process speed on Windows GPU Deepstack vs Ubuntu GPU Deepstack

T-average reported by BlueIris are 232ms (Windows) vs 200ms (Ubuntu) on my system with Proxmox and P620 passthrough with 512 cuda cores at the expense of about 30GB harddrive space and few more GB RAM space needed for running another OS, Ubuntu. Mood point now that BI is moving away from DS.

video surveillance for home please help

Useless. I can tell is a non-black person with blue shirt walk across the camera. But there is no way I can ID them. License plate number? Forget it. I can almost read what the license plate says, and better chance of ID the person.

BEWARE: Issue with Deepstack 2022.01.01 and BlueIris

I'm using Proxmox so I can monitor ram usage easily. I'm using Windows 10 VM, P620 GPU bypass, CUDA10, DeepStack-Installer-GPU-2021.09.1.exe, RAM usage is around 4.5GB out of 11GB. That's with five 5mp cameras and four 2mp cameras using the BI optimizing guide. With...

Minimum GPU for Deep Stack, price point vs performance

You'd want a Nvidia card with the most cuda cores you can afford. K600 only has 192 cores. I honestly wouldn't buy a K600 when below are the cost about the same. P400 (256 cores), P600 (384 cores), P620 (512 cores), GT1030 (384 cores)

I found my p620 quadro for $60 last year on Offerup, 512 cuda cores. Deals are out there, you just have to look for it and wait until it comes.

Internet Explorer browser replacement on Windows10 to view Hikvision live view, configuration, etc

Edge supports IE mode. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/450116/how-to-enable-ie-mode-on-microsoft-edge.html Newer firmware for Hikvision NVR supports other browser, though all function might not be there. I moved onto BlueIris and never looked back on a Hikvison poor interface.

Looking for a Non Chinese made NVR

Dahua is made by China. Go to Amazon find a cheap 9 port POE switch and a used business class pc like Lenovo Thinkcentre, Dell Optiplex, or HP Elitedesk and use BlueIris is my recommendation. I also had a Hikvision NVR, and I switched to BlueIris and what a HUGE difference it makes. Download...

Breaking News A China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 has crashed with 132 people on board

737-800 can glide for 90+ miles while being 30,000 ft up with no engine power. From the way this plane dropped its altitude, my guess it's a sudden mechanical failure (like lost of rudder control in the 90's) or intentional human act.

    Biting the bullet on BI.....

I bought a used $30 Lenovo M93p computer that has an i5 4570 cpu with 8GB of ram to run BlueIris and CPU DeepStack AND two virtual Linux OS (Home Assistant and Raspberry OS) to monitor nine cameras, five 5MP and four 2MP. It was great, except for the occasional 100% CPU cycles due to DeepStack...
