Acusense with strobe+light - How to easily turn on/off strobe+light?

Has anyone had any luck with being able to trigger the strobe light and alarm via app? I have a a bunch of 2386G2 cameras and an I series NVR (though firmware is old.. 2021) but all products were bought from an authorised dealer in Sydney. I believe my set up is eligible to support the Live...

Excited to see if the Live View works on my Mac! Been struggling eversince.

NVR ds-7608ni-i2/8p firmware upgrade gone wrong.

^ I also bought my setup from JK security - everything is all legit and running as intended. Wish I bought more ColorVu's rather than the 2386 Accusense. Figured I'd use the two way audio more but haven't used it once.

DS-2CD2386G2-ISU LED always on at night?

These have great b/w at night. If you have a bit of supplementary light e.g. street lamp. they'll do colour at night..

    Will NVR DS-7608NI-I2 Support a 8mp camera like DS-2CD2386G2-IU

    I have 2x 4mp G2 colourvu and 2x 8mp 2386G2 - 8ch I series NVR. One of my cameras isn’t working. Is it because of bandwidth issues?

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

Thought so. I'd assume if it's all built-in, it'll all be run through the single cable.

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

Was just on the phone with a local security company, and they said that the 2-way audio feature of this camera requires an additional wire to enable it. Is this correct? I thought that all features would run through the single Cat5/6 cable — and that the microphone and speaker were all built in...

Review: OEM IPC-B5442T-ASE-NI 4MP Pro AI Starlight Full-color Fixed Bullet

That's great to hear. I plan to run a compatible NVR but have only really watched Hikvision NVR/Accusense tutorials. I better start watching some Dahua tutorials :)

Review: OEM IPC-B5442T-ASE-NI 4MP Pro AI Starlight Full-color Fixed Bullet

These look great. Too bad my location is fairly dark, otherwise I would've opted for these. An additional flood light isn't feasible where I live. How do you find the security features? Like the vehicle and human detection? Are they similar to Hik?

    Hello from NZ

Posted from another thread: Excuse the amateur-hour drawing. But here's our floor plan. As you can see we have an allowance for 4x cameras and these are where we'll be placing them. We didn't opt for a 5th camera on the left-hand side due to the house being in close proximity to the fence and...

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

Good to know. I'm going backwards and forwards about getting the 4MP ColorVu, 4MP/8MP 2386 or the Dahua 5442. So far the 2386 has all the features my wife likes, but it sacrifices a bit of low-light quality. Whereas both the ColorVu and 5442 have excellent quality at 4MP — but don't have the...

Review Video of the 8mp Hikvision Darkfighter with active deterrence DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL

At around the 13min mark, there appears to be a bit of ghosting without any help of external lights. I guess this is what I'd be expecting with minimum/little ambient light. I also wouldn't want to install a flood light due to the neighbours being exposed to it.

    IPC-HDW3849H-AS-PV Video Quality

Image-wise, how would these fair in low-ish light conditions? Say a street lamp that's about 15-20m in front of the camera, as well as surrounding lights from neighbours etc. This model is 5mp with a 1/2.7” sensor.

Thanks for reply. The only thing about this model is the blue/red lights! Sorry, I know I’m being picky. I believe there’s a 5mp 5541? That has a normal light, but I think the image quality isn’t as great.

    Dahua HDW5541H-AS-PV 5MP WDR

I'd be using the Hikvision NVR features. Definitely liking the image quality of the 5442.

I really want to opt for the Dahua 5442 but the lack of active deterrence means it's difficult to consider. I am looking at the DS-2CD2T86G2-ISU/SL, with the 1/1.8" sensor, though it's only at a 8MP, not 4mp. Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Dahua HDW5541H-AS-PV 5MP WDR

Would the hikvision DS-2CD2T86G2-ISU/SL or DS-2CD2T46G2-ISU/SL be a better option? The Hikvision has similar features and the 8mp has a 1/1.8" sensor.

    Hello from NZ

Thanks team. Have been lurking and lurking. After reading more and more — specifically around sensor size and megapixels. Is it worthwhile I'm now considering a 4mp camera with a 1/3" sensor? (DS-2CD2046G2-IU) The must for me is a siren/strobe light.

Acusense DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL (Turret Camera) - Initial Impressions

Thanks for the reviews. I'm looking to purchase a set of these cameras. Are they relatively easy to use with the App? I won't be using BI, rather the NVR. The wife liked this model due to the siren and strobe light functionality. Can you choose to speak directly when a trigger has occurred...

    Hello from NZ

Wow. What cameras are you running? Your driveway design is very similar to ours. I would absolutely love a siren/two-way audio to warn the burglars, but also have a camera that's clear enough to post up photos in a local community group.

    Hello from NZ

Thanks for your reply. The driveway is relatively short, so will be sure to mount it a bit lower if possible. I'll have a look at those camera specs and see what I can find. We're expecting to see a good overview. We don't anticipate the area to be full of burglars, it's more a piece of...

    Hello from NZ

Hi guys, We're in the process of building a new house and have just gone through an electrical walkthrough. A security system was bought up by the electrician and he suggested we go for a wired system — previously I was all about wireless tech — Arlo's, Eufy's etc. but further research in...
