Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Now that’s amazing, hate searching a nvr for moments or motion. I know they have an email option but like you said false alarm alerts would get old. I guess I better go to my friends and check out his BI software. I’m sure I could do some simple upgrades to current desktop and have it run it...

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

That was a close one on the 4ks, I went to Costco and almost got there 4k lorex kit. Then I researched the crap outta it and watched YouTube videos lol. I will def check those out. So what does the limited 80k nvr streaming mean, limit the remote or monitor viewing?

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Yes but easy to swap out later I couldn’t get 4 turrets and a nvr for $350 anywhere else. But yes I know you all have seen the light.... been looking at nvr thought to possibly snag a better one since install was pushed back.

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Better than the 4k I was looking at, will slowly upgrade but need to get rid of analog system and install more expensive then cameras. Slowly will upgrade equipment but better than what I currently have.yes, I read the cliffs but $100/+ cam isn’t in budget and selected 5 mp cams have pretty good...

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Yes yes and yes. Attached and yes typical with garage by front door. Will try to put together sketch but 3 up front, 2 covering driveway/front, 1 at front door and 1 each side with 1 covering rear (maybe 2) depending on run/pricing of conduit.

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Thanks! Nvr has built in switch not sure how thatd work. If I keep nvr downstairs then run is easy for hardwired internet and maybe even hdmi to tv to other room.

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Router run would be 20’ feet or so, I figure If someone breaks in they will go to room closets first and really easier runs to wire.no basement here in CA. I have a Monitor but prob not enough room to leave in the closet but Easy enough to hookup when needed.

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Ethernet, ip based. Current analog setup uses a wireless extender. I guess we can run cat6 through garage and put service loops somewhere in there.

Placement of NVR in 2 story house?

Hi all, Curious on where everyone is running their Ethernet cables to nvr. I have a 2 story house and a few options. Poe system. I can run to a entry way closet where alarm panel is at that has a plug nearby and Ethernet would be an easy run through garage to this location for hardwired...

    How many cameras everyone running?

Curious as to how many everyone is running? Have 8 cameras ready to go up soon. 1 front door turret, 2 turrets covering driveway, 1 rear turret or bullet and 1 bullet on each sideyard. overkill?

Bullets or turrets for new cameras?

Thanks all, going for a mix up. Bullets for front as easy to clean webs and around current location and I’ve had luck even with a ring of leds (currently 18 leds I believe). Turrets will do well on side and rear to help blend in and Hey my kid can’t try and lasso the turret while playing...

Bullets or turrets for new cameras?

Thanks all! Great advice. Think the turrets are a perfect option and with those mounts easy to switch out if needed. Some Ethernet may be ran in conduit as not a straight shot to garage to nvr spot. Do the pfa130s need a special connector if ran with conduit to have exit water tight? Like a...

Bullets or turrets for new cameras?

Thank you! I just wasn’t sure how turrets could adjust and aim, or benefit over bullets. Thats a killer score on those, deals are great Going to look at mount now, having it installed so if I can interchange cams later that’s great and big plus. I just don’t want to drill/run wires myself.
