How can i get that label (human_numeric or human_coordinates) by using ISAPI hikvision or another tools?

I have done this, but you simply must use Blue Iris. Upon detection of a human, BI will log out the label and coordinates. You simply scrape the log with perl/python/java/etc and whamo! You have your coordinates. I have absolutely no idea if a proprietary NVR solution logs out this info. You...

    Window coverage

I run with cameras watching each other as well as the house and the front/back areas. So 4 cameras for the front and 3 in the back. I have zero windows on the side of my house, so no cameras there.

freeze and disconnections on live view

You can use the Blue Iris app to view cameras (on android or apple) You can log onto the Blue Iris server via VPN to view cameras (from just about anything) And of course, you can use the browser based UI3 approach to view cameras (Firefox/Chrome/Edge/Opera/etc) Each approach has different...

freeze and disconnections on live view

I have the same concern. I have had my BI running for about 5 1/2 years. At first I never ran into the orange clock (didn't even know what it was!) and I was running 20 cameras (dahua/hykvision) at 2160p 10 frames/sec on UI3, now I get the orange clock several times a day or more running 4...

    Poor mans PTZ auto tracking

I did not update this thread, but I wrote a program that scraped the log output of BI which does indeed contain the coordinates of when a ‘person’ is found. You can then use those coordinates to move the camera. Remember this approach contained no zooming. My approach was simple. Create 9...

Getting BI and HomeSeer Talking To Each Other

Broad and baseless statement as HS continues to be a leader in the home automation arena I prefer a pro solution rather than consumer centric products. I find smart things and other similar offerings to be annoying as they try to dumb their product down to the lowest common denominator of...

    Hikvision Compatible 8MP Dome pg2387c 8Mpx colorvu

One of the many reasons I prefer Dahua. With Dahua, I can make straight up HTTP GET calls to the camera. HIKVision seems to prefer POST XML Here is a thread talking about it: HIKVision API calls Until you figure out the API there is nothing else you can do. Once you figure out the API call...

POE Trigger/Switch for Mailbox Cameras on BI?

What about adding a second 2x4 on top of the existing 2x4 that is holding the hanging sign. This would double the thickness. Once that is completed you could carve out a space that could hold your round camera at the end. Most of the body would be embedded into the two 2x4's and the camera would...

How do you color calibrate a camera?

“ATW is a more dynamic version of AUTO white balance. It detects when your ambient lighting shifts significantly (such as moving from indoors to outdoors) and dynamically changes the AWB for you.” Here is the WIKI from Dahua related to camera settings Sounds like you want to avoid any of the...

    Day/Night mode best practice?

It reports more frequently in bright than in dark. However I find it very accurate in either brightness. It seems quite sensitive to changes in brightness. I just play around with things way too much (retired) and noticed that by night it is not as 'talkative' to HomeSeer. Let me explain. So...

    Day/Night mode best practice?

You may have solved this already, but if not, I am using HomeSeer (H4) with this LUX meter now for about a year. So far it has been reliable. The first battery made it about 9 months. I have it set up using the three profiles on my Dahua cameras (5442, etc). So there are day/night profiles but...

Any guide aboput selecting the right camera type for various use cases?

I agree, but I would take it a step further and apply profiles in BI. This way your family can enjoy time on the property without constantly setting off the siren, alarms and alerts. Frequent false alarms/alerts/etc reduce the sense of urgency to take action.

Any guide aboput selecting the right camera type for various use cases?

I think that the cameras with a white light (led) turning on when someone is detected just tells that person where the camera is. And for family members, not sure what message is being sent to them.

Any guide aboput selecting the right camera type for various use cases?

And they all could be! It depends 100% on what it is you are trying to accomplish. You can hire a pro to make these important decisions or immerse yourself in the hundreds of helpful threads on this forum. There are so many variables to consider, the least of which is your budget. One camera...

How to change BI profile using HomeAssistant?

Fun! If someone opens my back gate, I have 2 of my PTZ's aim and zoom in on it, then after 30 seconds pull back out. The opening of the gate also powers a small siren upstairs for 3 seconds (best alert for when I am asleep). I find the marriage of HS (or specifically home automation) and BI to...

How to change BI profile using HomeAssistant?

Check this out! I use this gesture pad to control my living room TV. The gesture pad sends commands to HS which then communicates to my Sony Bravia TV via IP protocol generated by a plugin available for HS So, I can’t stand the TV when commercials are running. I did buy additional universal...

How to change BI profile using HomeAssistant?

Another fun thing I do with my HS/BI integration is cycle my outside cameras through 3 different profiles each based on the actual LUX value. I used to change 2 camera profiles on a time based schedule, but clouds and storms changes the amount of available light often. So I bought this LUX...

How to change BI profile using HomeAssistant?

Below is a link on how to do the exact same thing with ‘HomeSeer’ and Blue Iris. I use simple HTTP/JSON calls to keep the two applications in sync. So when the profile changes in Blue Iris, HomeSeer is notified. This of course changes the behavior of HomeSeer and how it reacts. But it also works...

    BI has become unstable.

This should be a known change. Not a guess. It sounds like you don't want to use a dedicated machine and that is reasonable, But in such a situation you invite many moving parts. This approach increases the need for better documentation.

You sound curious. That means you like learning and improving. If that is true, consider going with the option that will allow for those traits to be fully satisfied. Go with Blue Iris.
