Reolink: Deconstruction of a dangerous misleading youtube review "Finding the BEST 4K Security Camera NVR Package (Reolink vs Amcrest vs Swann)"

Good point - to be more precise we actually need to use the angle of view instead, as focal length and sensor size both play a role. BTW, what camera model is it?

Reolink: Deconstruction of a dangerous misleading youtube review "Finding the BEST 4K Security Camera NVR Package (Reolink vs Amcrest vs Swann)"

I think you need 6mm or more in such an environment to get a close picture of the person. Your camera looks like 2.8mm, and regardless of camera brand, you will not be able to capture details well enough.

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

I just try to understand the numbers - are they suppose to sum to 100%? i.e. 70+ fatality rate + survival rate should be 100%? In this case, the fatality rate should be 5.4%, no? What am I missing?

Reolink RLC-520 Unable to change to Static IP Address...

Agree - first it is really not the best idea to use /22 subnet. But if I use /22 I would really prefer to use my DHCP server for that :) I am using Unifi UDM - it does support using /22 subnets, but you are right - many routers may not

Reolink RLC-520 Unable to change to Static IP Address...

I read through the thread, and have a question - why not set up a DHCP server with static IP assignments? You will achieve exactly the same result and it will be actually more easy if you decide to move the camera into another subnet later. I have all my cameras with DHCP but am assigned a...

DeepStack only analyzes 3 images each time regardless of setting

DeepStack only analyzes 3 images each time regardless of setting

I have only one Alerts folder and JPG and DAT files are created there w/o a problem with DB Only option set. (the resolution is low, but that is expected).

DeepStack only analyzes 3 images each time regardless of setting

Correct on both items. (I am using DS CPU version and 4MP camera). For the camera, I used: Loryta IPC-T5442TM-AS-LED , 4MP camera. I also tried with Amcrest FCM-IP8M-T2499EW28MM, 8MP camera.

DeepStack only analyzes 3 images each time regardless of setting

Well, it is much better - now you recovered 2 sec(!) of possible identifications! Same behavior here - so there are 4 bugs (I already open tickets for that, but support used 2MP cameras that do not trigger this problem. They need to use 4Mp+ cameras for that): ------ 1. When Hi-Res JPEG option...

DeepStack only analyzes 3 images each time regardless of setting

I have a similar experience. I still do not understand why there is a problem pulling 4-5MB files each second on a very powerful machine. Should not be an issue at all. Anyway, pay attention that you have the same problem I had - you have T-562 and then twice T+2108. And you do not have T+0...

Anyone getting T+0 msec in deepstack analysis Windows?

You have the same problem I had - not only you do not get T+0, you also have a duplicate frame sent to DS: (T+598). This also probably causes you to have many false-negative responses from DS. I bet you have this option set to "Hi res JPEG" - set it to DB Only and it will fix the problem

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

Thank you - I can not explain that, but in my case, it is reproducible on any camera any time I turn this option on. I am using Intel+VPP, the latest BI+DS. Nothing really special about my config, all drives are SSD (so read/write is fast), CPU is 10% on average. The manual trigger will cause...

Anyone getting T+0 msec in deepstack analysis Windows?

I have "begin analysis with motion-leading edge” unchecked (tried with check as well). Pre trigger buffer is 5 sec. FPS ratio is 1.0 Sent from my KB2005 using Tapatalk

Anyone getting T+0 msec in deepstack analysis Windows?

Hello guys, using latest BI+DS. Can anyone confirm if they are getting T+0 in the deepstack analysis window? I am constantly getting T+50 up to T+100 msec. So the image sent to DS and motion rectangle is a bit off.

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

    1. Followed the procedure from here: OOps - Need a Clean Start - How ? - Blue Iris 2. It was set to the default setting, "Database Only".

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

I did not know that - that explains the delays. Not a problem in my case, I am doing this mostly for fun :) So what I did now I removed BI, DS, cleaned the registry. Reinstalled. I have only 3 cameras. Connected them (not from backup). The problem is almost solved : 1. No more double frames 2...

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

There is an Already did - the problem with the support is they are SO SLOW on response. Weeks. Why they do not have GitHub or something similar is beyond my understanding ... Guys - anybody else has this problem (same T+X) sent twice to the DS?

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

Not exactly - here what happens when I click Ctrl+Double Click: (frame on the left is not in the list on DS events on the right - none of them will show motion in the same place as left frame). BTW, another issue that is happening 100% of the time - see that the first two events sent to DS as...

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

Also, pretty often, DS will miss some events as the motion coordinates are not sent correctly. For example, when I select a clip and do Ctrl + mouse double click (that should bring me to the motion detection frame), I will get: (you can see that the motion frame that was passed to the DS is a...

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

Thank you - I did. The problem is that even when using the substream, I still get the following problems: 1. There is a mismatch between object location and motion detection causing DS to miss alert 2. I still can not explain why there is a 2-sec delay between the first 2 images Here is the...

Having trouble with short lived motion events and deepstack. Problem seems to be on blue iris side.

Same problem here - I opened a ticket. I went to the last stable release and it is working fine again, so I guess they did something wrong in BI. You specify to send 5 images every 1 sec, and they may send any number, from 1 to 6. But the problem is that if you open a deep stack analysis...

    DS & Motion Detection Rectangles

Hello, I have a problem with my BI+DS configuration and need some help. Basically, in many cases, I get something like this: (any ideas why motion rectangles are not synced with the actual object?) I have Object Detection turned on.

    AMD vs Intel for BI?

I think you do use HW acceleration in BI, nowadays especially. So I guess the answer is you better with Intel with integrated graphics for hardware acceleration. While you can use GPU for that it is less efficient by far (according to the same wiki at least)

Reolink: Deconstruction of a dangerous misleading youtube review "Finding the BEST 4K Security Camera NVR Package (Reolink vs Amcrest vs Swann)"

That what bad AI does :) They probably try to remove noise, and their AI see the creature as a noise :) P.S. Funny enough, DS sometimes claims my friend's dog (giant schnauzer) is an elephant with a 48% degree of certainty :)

Reolink: Deconstruction of a dangerous misleading youtube review "Finding the BEST 4K Security Camera NVR Package (Reolink vs Amcrest vs Swann)"

I have no idea if he is paid for such reviews or not - he claims he is not, and it may or may not be the case. We really can not prove this. He also mentioned Andy's cameras, and recommended them as well - but I do not think he is getting paid by Andy. I see your point about telling more about...
