Sorry the late reply.. had a family emergency. The cameras are Hikvision DS-2CD2032. They have some VCA abilities I believe as the user manual states as much. On the current firmware I don't seem to have the ability to set line boundaries for line crossing detection.

Interesting. I may give this a try in a month from now. Yes, they look different but not a whole lot. I always figured Swann bought just the board and designed their own case which is why you see subtle differences. I always look at the back generally as if the board is the same you'll see...

How would I run tftp if my NVR always gets an IP address from the router? I guess I need to be able to connect to it at 192.0.0.64 but it is running at 192.168.1.100. Should I just change the static ip to 192.0.0.64 from the web interface?

Yes my NVR looks exactly like the 7616. It doesn't look anything like the mobile nvr 7116. This is why I find it weird that it thinks it's the 7116 even though I used the US-based 7616-E2/8P firmware version 3.1.0. I have the one with 16 channels but only 8 of the ports are powered with POE.

How do I confirm the version if I have a Swann 16ch/8 camera system from Costco with 3MP cameras? When I go the Hikvision web interface it says the NVR is DS-7116N-SN although I could have sworn everyone says the Costco model over the last year is 7616.

No luck. At this point I would be content to just get back to the original Swann firmware and just deal with their lousy iPhone app. Only problem is I see no way of loading their original firmware back onto the device, if I can even find their original firmware out there.

Not sure you understood what I'm doing. I'm trying to re-flash the NVR, not a camera. Also, I am using a router/switch and it is able to connect to the NVR, just keep getting the VS2000 file error and never recovers even if I let it run again on its own 12 mins later.

You mentioned that you were more patient. I'm in the same boat right now. Did you mean you let it sit with the AV2000 error, or you relaunched the TFTP tool, rebooted the NVR after the error, and then waited? What combination of steps worked, I'm a bit unclear? thanks!
