Amcrest AD410 - how to make it more secure?

I've noticed the time between setting VSP_PaaS.Online to true and reverting back to false varies. I've gone weeks without it reverting and sometimes just a couple hours. My work around was creating a RESTful binary sensor in Home Assistant which checks every 30 seconds (default for binary...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Thanks for the link! Just followed most of the steps in that post and everything seems to be working great. AD410 is fully blocked from the internet, NTP server is pointed at a local NTP server and a Home Assistant automation that keeps the ring light from flashing. Now I just use HomeKit to...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Two returns. First one had the IR glare issue but I installed it anyways (mostly because I wanted to make sure the wifi reception would be okay). Ordered a second and just set it up plugged in using the microUSB to see if it had the issue, which it did, so I returned that one. Ordered a third...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Ah, interesting. When I first set it up, I tried blocking it from the internet but I wasn't getting any notifications. I read somewhere (I think this thread) that other folks were reporting the same so I just assumed it needed internet access for notifications to work. I just tried blocking it...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

I noticed my firewall's IPS is dropping something coming from the AD410: "SERVER-OTHER Squid HTTP Host Header Port Handling Denial of Service" dst_ip="54.87.150.86" dst_country="USA" protocol="TCP" src_port="51104" dst_port="15100" This appears to be an AWS server so I suspect it's just...

    Review-Dahua/EmpireTech new doorbell cam Db6l 5mp

Any updates on this doorbell camera? Firmware updates? Has anyone done a comparison to the Amcrest AD410? I realize they're likely the same doorbell camera but just wasn't sure if one is more configurable than the other. It seems like both will accept URL commands to change settings which is...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Just received another one from Amazon, same date listed on the box (05/2022) and the same exact issue. I'll wait a few weeks before returning this to exchange for another to see if I can get one with a different date.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

It’s on the top and bottom. As I rotate the camera the IR flare follows the rotation. To me, it seems pretty clear the IR lights reflecting off the clear lens is causing the issue. My plan is to just keep ordering new ones and returning the bad ones to Amazon until I can find one that works...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Yeah, that’s actually how I have it setup right now. I have it powered via microUSB in my house just to test it before installing it outside. The issue is there in a nearly pitch black room. There’s a few folks in the Scrypted discord that have this same issue.

    IPC-T5442T-ZE IPC-T5442TM-AS latest new firmware General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.800.15OG004.0.R.201203

It appears the link no longer works from the word doc on the first page to download the latest firmware. Is there an updated link? Thanks! Edit: Found it, it's in this thread for the IPC-T5442TM-AS. Got confused because this post is pinned and titled "... latest new firmware...".
