I just wanted to share something I found when looking through my alert logs. I use Dahua cameras with built in AI and I setup AI with triplines and then turned off all other motion detection. In BI I set to ONVIF triggers and thought that would be good enough. I kept seeing these triggers...

I have a backyard camera with warm LED lights and it attracts a lot of flying bugs at night. So I attempted to schedule night hours to be sent to CP AI and then go back to camera AI during the day. Is this the best way to set this up? Thanks

Was set to 100%, with 512 bitrate which appear to be cap

I own two copies of BI so that I can use the second to manage BI from another PC on my network. It works fine except the video quality is poor when managing from BI on another PC. In theory it should be exactly the same, but if I remote into my BI machine the video quality in the remote...

One more thing just to make sure I'm doing it right. Under global config I am using custom models. Do you also need to configure custom models under each camera?

When you are using Dahua AI do you still send to CodeProject for analysis? I'm also curious if you are using CodeProject should you just setup SMD on all non-AI cameras and pass every alert to CP ? Thanks

This idea that you need to factory reset 3 times seems pretty ridiculous. I mean do you need to dance around in a circle and pat your head and rub your stomach? Either a factory reset works or it doesnt.

It however did not trigger Surveillance Station :( Same onvif setup. Next hurdle

Crazy....added SD card, formatted it, read/write it. Went into AI and added record to event triggers. Walked around in front of camera and BAMM local recording AND triggered BI with a tripwire. @EMPIRETECANDY can you please ask to have code updated to work without SD card? Thank you

Is there any chance on board memory is the issue? Trying to figure out what's different between our cameras, i do not have SD cards in mine.

Try to turn on standard video detection under events and go ahead and turn on SMD too and see if you start getting triggered on those other cameras. I've never been able to get a trigger from IVS to Surveillance Station or to BI with my Dahua cameras

And then target filter? If I turn that off will it trigger on anything breaking the tripwire

Was poking around on my cameras and I noticed this setting: It has Smart Codec and AI Codec as options. Do you have to have this on AI codec for AI to trigger? Thanks

Full reset on cameras and newly added to BI no luck. Oh well I'll just use the standard detection until maybe a newer FW comes out

Thank you for the help. I deleted it and re-added camera to no avail. I think as one last ditch effort I'll delete camera, then factory reset the camera and start from scratch. I wish I code retro FW back to a known good version.

I turned on Alarm at top of screen by dropping down the Alarm Subs and selecting all. I had the mailman show up and you can see lots of IVS triggers but nothing on the BI or SS

Ah thank you guys, at least I'm not looking for logs. I do not currently have any local storage in my cameras so maybe that is it??

Could you please check your logs if you are running IVS and see if you are getting IVS triggers listed? Maybe IVS doesnt log, hell I'm grasping

Thats correct. I have both SS and BI setup and neither get triggers from IVS. The odd part is if I enable SMD those triggers work fine to both systems. Also, the SMD triggers show up in the logs and the IVS ones do not. I have 3 of these cameras and can produce the same results on all of them.

Haha I know full invisible on camera GUI. Visible on feed to BI Ya i see it alerting and triggering but if I check the log for alerts it doesnt show any and neither SS or BI trigger record. I'm lost

Ya I dropped it as mp4. I used a capture app to cap the video of the live image on the camera itself. I dont get the trigger lines in BI or SS and I want to see those activate
