I agree. This camera is so new though that early firmware updates may be beneficial, depending on what is included. In this case I wanted the LEDS to turn on on motion, but in my particular scenario it doesn't work exactly how I want it to, yet.

I’m ok with paying much less for the same exact camera. Many others are too. If you buy from a reputable supplier it’s all good. Find me one that ships to US for the same price I paid or close to and I’ll be happy to buy genuine.

Always export your config file when updating manually, just in case! I also make a backup of my config file after I make changes, just in case.

Is there any performance difference between choosing a I7-9700K vs I9-9900K as far as Blue Iris goes, assuming around 1300mp/s? Benchmark tests show them to be equal. Is the hyper threading beneficial for Blue Iris?

Correction: h264h, not h264+. Most are now Amcrest cameras and the only option is H264h. Either way I plan on upgrading the CPU, just curious about the GPU question in respect to a better CPU. Also trying to figure out if i7-8700k will be powerful enough or should I go really Big for i9-9900k.
