    My Hikvision Home Setup

So, the Pole is actually my property and I did also have to pay to have it installed, the only part that belongs to the utility company is the power-meter-thingy (I have no Idea of the correct term for that in English, sorry) Besides the monthly reading that they do, there isn't any maintenance...

IR Mode x Focus on DS-2CD2632F-IS

We have a brand new DS-2CD2632F-IS that we just installed. From what I can judge it is properly focused. But during the night when it uses its IR leds, from what I can tell the images gets blurry. Is that normal? Has anyone experienced this and does have any tips? Those are the full resolution...

    Firmware 5.2.0 in English

I've never heard of this "Vera" but anyway if you want a screenshot of the current image on the camera: http://admin:12345@192.168.100.64/Streaming/Channels/1/picture I would guess: URL: /Streaming/Channels/1/picture user: User Password: password MAC: no idea? IP: 192.168.100.64:80 Try that.

    Firmware 5.2.0 in English

I never knew you could do that with Hikvision's cameras. Got my attention. I've tried it here and none of those URL's worked(After adapting IP, name and password). :(

    My Hikvision Home Setup

I think the support for the camera is aluminium, the whole body is. The pole is made of concrete. I'm using FTP cable/connectors and I'm waiting for my ubiquiti's surge protector to arrive, I plan to ground it together with the switch and everything else, the camera doesn't seem to have a ground...

    My Hikvision Home Setup

It's actually made from parts from an 4U rack, I took the rear 19" "rails" (Like these http://www.allmetalparts.co.uk/c/15-category/network-rail-rack-strip-audio.jpg), made a little custom metal frame and fixed both to the ceiling leaving 19" of space in between. It was cheap and just works. :)...

    My Hikvision Home Setup

The camera motion detection didn't work very well(Synology's fault probably), so I just went with the Surveillance Station detection. I'm using Sensivity 96 and Thresold 6 for my cameras, that gave me best results. It's not very good but it works, It's sure not worth what synology tries to...

Did you try to apply this 5.2 firmware using TFTP or how? The latest cameras I've bought are all 5.2 and english already, so no experience with what you're describing.

Hikvision 2XXX English (multi language) 5.2 firmware - need way to modify it

Once you have the recovery software running on a PC on the same subnet with the correct IP address and the firmware image you want to apply, you can power them off and then on one at a time, each on of them will then download the file from the TFTP and apply the older firmware. The problem is...

Haven't found any version where it doesn't work. Just remember that it has to be updated through tftp firmware recovery.

    Firmware 5.2.0 in English

I'm not exactly sure, so if anyone else can provide feedback on this. My two cameras with firmware 5.2.0 lose conection for 5 minutes every two or three days. A firmware bug maybe? Is anyone else having this issue? I'm using both cameras with a Synology NAS, if that makes any difference.

Hikvision 2XXX English (multi language) 5.2 firmware - need way to modify it

You don't need to mess with the IP of the NVR, leave it as is. Yes, if the NVR is a separate network, plug your PC to the switch on the NVR. Run the Update (TFTP Server) on your PC after assigning IP 192.0.0.128 From other PC (or from NVR if that is possible, never used it) tell the camera...

    Firmware 5.2.0 in English

A lot of people are probably after this, so in case you missed it: In this topic the user soupratt posted a link to a file "Raptor_2_520_f_10_14_c.dav" (20.280.592 bytes) that is the working English(and all other languages) firmware V5.2.0 Build 140721, I've tested it on my two cameras and it...

Hikvision 2XXX English (multi language) 5.2 firmware - need way to modify it

Isn't the NVR POE? In that case to shut a camera off just unplug the network cable. After the firmware "recovery" using TFTP the camera will revert to the factory config (including IP). I know it looks like a massive pain, but a firmware recovery isn't exactly ment to be easy, it hardly needs to...

Hikvision 2XXX English (multi language) 5.2 firmware - need way to modify it

How are you powering the devices? AC adaptors? In that case turn off the circuit breaker, it doesn't matter how you do it, you just need to turn them off after rebooting and doing the firmware update.

Hikvision 2XXX English (multi language) 5.2 firmware - need way to modify it

Im very interested on this firmware. About updating your cameras, there's no need to attach directly to it, my cameras are attached to a poe switch and the whole network, if done once at a time, configure the IP 192.0.0.128 on your PC with the firmware on the program folder, run the...
