Confused as heck about Hikvision event detection

I do too, but this camera gave me something I couldn't get with Dahua when I purchased it (and may still not be able to get): wide and tall FOV with IR for night.

Confused as heck about Hikvision event detection

Too many options, and they are not intuitive. In fact, I think there may be some software issues on these cameras to where the options aren't functional.

Confused as heck about Hikvision event detection

I bumped the sensitivity from 60 to 80 as an experiment, using intrusion only. The documentation behind the help button is somewhat generic to all/many cameras. It doesn't even mention vehicle/human selections on the Basic Event config as far as I could tell. Perhaps they weren't even meant...

Confused as heck about Hikvision event detection

Still trying to sort out event / motion detection on an Annke branded Hikvision camera. Asking here because I believe the configuration is about the same. What I want: To detect only humans and vehicles in my driveway. On my old Dahua cam it was easy to set and worked remarkably well. Now...

Help with Hikvision event detection: basic vs. smart settings

Thanks. This doesn't seem to be the case for me. If I enable Basic and check both human and vehicle, I get almost continuous motion - it seems to be picking up every flicker, every bug, every snowflake... If I do the same with Smart, it seems to improve, but I'm also not sure how Smart...

Help with Hikvision event detection: basic vs. smart settings

Hi all, Resurrecting this as I didn't get an answer previously - do I use BASIC or SMART events to get only human and vehicle detection within a specific area? I'm still setting up my first Hik-variant camera. Thanks!

Help with Hikvision event detection: basic vs. smart settings

HI all, First Hikvision-variant camera (Annke FCD600) after using Dahua exclusively. Can you help with event detection settings? I'm looking for only human and vehicle detection inside a defined area in the field of view. I'm not sure if this is considered "basic" or "smart". "Human" and...

POE problem - please help me understand

Yes - checked that multiple times. I'm reading now about 24V passive POE injectors vs. 48V vs. 802.3af/at...possibly some of my issue (as I don't yet understand the differences!),

POE problem - please help me understand

Hi all, Possibly a novice question, but I'm no networking expert. My home network switches (TP-LINK TL-SG1008P) are a combination of POE (for cameras and WAPs) and non-POE. All cameras work fine when connected to the POE ports of the switches. For testing, I've been trying to connect a new...

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

Thanks. Maybe I’m concerned about nothing. I’ll wait to see how much adjustment it needs when I get it installed. Thanks!

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

Those who have the turret version of the FCD600 or similar: Do you find the range of adjustment of the angle of the camera is very limited without putting the wire in a tough bend? Trying to figure out if there is something I'm missing...

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

I have the PFA130-E with a Dahua camera in the location currently. The FCD600 is BIG compared to the PFA130-E, and I don't think the holes line up on the cover at all. Since the install is in a soffit, I may just do away with the junction box and cut out a shape matching the base of the FCD600...

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

Thanks, this is what I was looking for. I'll need to hang it from the top in some way. I am probably better off with the turret and looking for a mounting solution (junction box) which fits. I was unable to find one the last time. Thanks!

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

Hi all, I'm wanting to try the FCD600 camera again; I initially returned it because the turret version was huge and would not mount to my existing junction boxes. Wondering if anyone has the bullet version? Can it be mounted under an overhang? The mount I see online leads me to believe no -...

Seeking some camera recommendations to replace existing

Yes, I've looked at those and see that most if not all don't have IR. I'm also not sure about the compatibility with Surveillance Station. Thanks.

Seeking some camera recommendations to replace existing

Hi all, Made some compromises with locations and camera types when I first set up my system a couple of years back. I have a mix of Amcrest and Dahua 2.7 (variable)/2.8 (fixed) mm IR "turret" style POE cameras, 4 and 5 MP resolution. Looking for some camera recommendations which can give me a...

Alternative to Surveillance Station for Synology?

Hi all, I'm pretty committed to my Synology NAS for camera storage, but I'm looking to see if there is an alternative to the Surveillance Software application for viewing? Reason being is that I find SS very clunky. Its user interface is not very intuitive. Plus the DS Cam mobile app is slow...

Alternative mobile software for Amcrest AD410 doorbell

Hi all, Looking to see if there are any alternative mobile software options (iPhone/iOS) for the Amcrest AD410 doorbell. I'd like something that notifies me when the doorbell is rang and allows me to answer a call from it. My preference is to keep the doorbell OFF the internet, but I'd...

    IPC-Color4K-T180 versus TIOC version

I've been using the PFA130-E for all of my cameras. Its diameter looks to be a little smaller than the 5.5" width of the Annke mount. I know Annke changed the mounts on the FCD600 at some point - I've seen some videos which show it rounder than the current rectangular shape...

Will Dahua/Hikvision etc. make a 180 degree camera with IR?

Thanks. So you are mounting direct to soffit and not feeding that wiring through a waterproof junction box? I was hoping to mount that plate to an existing junction box, but it doesn't line up properly at all.

    IPC-Color4K-T180 versus TIOC version

Awesome work. I'm about to send back the FCD600 because there is nothing available to which that rectangular shape of the camera will cleanly mount. Any way you can create something with that shape which is more universal? That is, just adapts the 5.5"x4" rectangle of the camera to a certain...

Can I ask - how did you mount them?

Will Dahua/Hikvision etc. make a 180 degree camera with IR?

This is a question I have too. I'm not an enthusiast in the camera space, installed a system a couple of years back and haven't done much in the way of upgrade. But I woke up one morning recently and said - "I'd love to get more coverage with my existing system, I wonder if someone makes...

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

I now have the FCD600 in hand. It has an odd form factor, more rectangular in shape than I anticipated. At its widest, it’s about 5.5”. It clips up to a plate which is slightly narrower and has screw holes at about 2.25” apart. Picture attached below. Not sure the linked junction box will work...

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

Thanks. That's one that I keyed in on, but I wasn't sure. Most of the dimensions include the length of the waterproof connector, so I wasn't entirely sure. I'll need to double-check the dimensions on the FCD600 (arriving today). I picked a Hik version which may or may not be the equivalent.

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

Thanks. I will do some more searching on the specs when I am on desktop instead of mobile. I wasn’t sure if the Amazon seller is Annke direct or what, so I wasn’t sure if the FCD800 is a legit model. I couldn’t find it on Annke’s website searching on my phone. I do see some are full color and...
