Have you tried? Or just want to show all of us how dumb you are?

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

I can take a brand new Unifi camera out of the box plug it into a USB cable or POE ethernet cable and setup everything right from the App on my phone within 4mins. Adoption, recording settings, quality settings, alarms, firmware updates, ivs, save files etc. Can't do that with a Dahua NVR/App...

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

I have started slowly moving over to Unifi Protect whilst still running my BI + EmpireTech system. Just 3 camera's so far, 2x wifi and 1x poe. Literally plug them in and click adopt in the Unifi Protect App and wait 3mins for them to automatically update to the latest firmware. Don't have to...

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Does Protect need a hdd installed even just to load? Edit: Stopping and Starting the Protect service...

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

Now spend that amount of time on a customers or friends BI system and see how quickly you hate life (and bankrupt yourself).

HUGE RUMOR: Unifi Protect will support ONVIF cameras (like from HIK/Dahua)

I've been in the Unifi eco system for about 3 years but have never used the Protect app. I think within 6 months I wont be using Blue Iris at all. Everyone I have shown Blue Iris too has run away - way too complicated, and I agree. They have all gone Dahua NVR's with the same junk UI and App...

    Enterprise SSD for Blue Iris

I've been using a Corsair MX500 500gb as my 'new' storage for BI for 1.5 years with zero issues. With SSD/NVME's being so cheap I don't understand why anyone wouldn't use an SSD/NVME for BI, it's free horsepower and if you lose the drive all you have lost is a couple of days recordings which...

Understanding Ui3 burden on Bi PC

UI3 Help Just read through this info and tweaked my UI3 settings. Had a really annoying problem when switching between camera's on my Pixel 7 + Chrome where it would take up to 10 seconds to load the live feed. Soon as I disabled direct-to-wire the problem was fixed and switching between...

Thanks for the time and effort you put into these reviews Wildcat, really appreciate it.
