I've tried from the min value to the max value, going up in 500 steps. looking at my other cameras, the bit rate seems to go up in multiple powers of 2, ie binary values. wonder if there is something in that...? but, I also tried that theory and it made no real difference! :( Rice

I to only use the main stream, so tried it setup as single stream, but it was no better. Also reduced the frame rate to 25fps/20fps/15fps. Still get the ghosting, osd clock going awol and dropping out :sad2: rice

This is something I posted a few pages back. increasing the iframe rate just seems to alter how long it take to clean up the image before it start to "trail" again. i did find that dropping the resolution to 2mp helped with this a lot, however, I still have a LOT of "no signal" alarms. on...

Thanks for the advice. I tried this, but it didn't make much difference. The OSD clock runs slow, then it will skip frames and catch up. It repeats this over about 7-8 seconds. I'm thinking along the same way as you pozzello, you would think the more often the iframes, the better the motion...

Can anyone tell me why, sometimes, with this camera connected to BI, when I play the video back I end up with "trails" on moving objects in the frame. The "trails" clear every second then start again! Thanks Rice

The camera is set to LDR (light dependent resistor), but the LEDs continue to cycle. I actually think the driver board is shutting down due to thermal reasons..it gets seriously hot, shuts down, cools down then restarts. The result is the LEDs when they first switch on will work OK for...

Thanks for the reply. I've tried both Video Auto and LDR Auto, it doesn't make any difference to the LEDs cycling. The default value for the icut filter was set to 3. I've tried this setting with different values and it makes no difference. Looks as though once the cycling begins, the only way...

Why not... Have a hot key, so under normal running conditions, you will maximise what you see with a camera view (as you have currently), unimpeded by a label. However, when you need to know what the camera name is, you press a Hot Key and this will overlay, in large text, over All the camera...
