Hi, there are two different files (or two with a slightly different names):
DH_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.27.R.240322.zip
DH_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.27.R.240322.zip
What is the difference between them?
Thanks!
Hi,
I'm interested in buying an indoor ip camera (with a wifi connectivity).
I would like some AI capabilities of identifying movement of people (like intrusion alarm).
I'm not going to use BI, but connect it through my mobile device.
I saw these:
eufy Security Indoor Cam E220 | 2K
Xiaomi 360...
Hi, I want to add a backup WAN to my VPN router (there is a dedicated usb for that).
The WAN is of a different ISP (it is a cellular modem stick LTE).
Currently I'm using a static IP (router has a VPN tunnel).
I believe I must have a dynamic dns for backup to work - right?
How secure (safe) is...
Hi,
I just want to be sure..
Is there a new firmware for IPC-T5442TM-AS ?
I saw this file:
General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.25.R.230425.bin
It is from: 18-Jul-2023
I believe i can update IPC-T5442TM LED as well (though it is IR firmware)?
By the way, which of the vpn protocols are considered to be fast?
I'm using an openVPN and the speed is dramatically dropped down in compare to not having a vpn.
i get about 1 Giga bit/sec (from ISP) on each side (client and remote server) and when i connect the client via a vpn, the speed is...
On my phone, I have a DMSS app.
I've added a device by its local ip (since i'm connected through a vpn).
When i'm connected through the vpn, i can see the video content as well as the push notifications.
When the vpn is down i can still get the push notifications, though i've added the device by...
I believe i have turned it off (i'll check it later).
Just to understand; the push notifications are sent to some server (probably of Dahua), and then reached to my phone - is it correct?
Hi, i'm using a vpn to get my video content remotely.
I'm also using push notifications to get the alerts.
Does it means that it uses P2P?
As far as i understand push notifications are one direction - from my vpn router to outside.
Does push notifications consider to have vulnerabilities?
Yes, they do provide it (a list).
Their router gives them an indication about the connectivity, but I can't use it with my private VPN router (it doesn't have 'disable NAT' - I believe nor their router).
Also, I'm not sure how to configure them to work together.
Well, it is actually consider to be an ONU device (i'm not familiar with the difference in compare to ONT).
ISP fiber -> ONU -> VPN router
I wonder about the vulnerability of using it.
Now, I'm using a DSL router which functions as a bridge to my vpn router.
Hi,
I use a dsl infrastructure for my network.
I'm considering of moving to fiber infrastructure.
Thus i need to replace my bridge roter to a media converter.
Now: ISP dsl -> bridge -> vpn router.
After: ISP fiber -> media converter -> vpn router.
I'm considering of buying a cheap media...
I'm not sure, that i've described the issue correctly.
My configuration should look like that:
Wan -> (in) router1
Router1 (port1) -> vpn-router
Now, if there are other devices which are connected to the other ports of router.
Can their traffic go through the vpn tunnel (at the vpn router)...
Hi,
I would like to concatenate two routers.
An ISP (fyber) router to my vpn router.
The isp router has also wifi connectivity.
The ISP router is the first in order and will have the wan input. The vpn router will be connected to one of its ports.
Does my vpn network becomes vulnerable to...
Is getting the time from the internet considered as not secure?
I have only a router (which functions as a vpn server). Have no other server or computer in my system, so I can't set my own ntp server.
Hi, I have a VPN, but I enabled the push notifications on both the cameras and the NVR - Does it put my server and my devices on risk? - I believe I must enable these push notification in order to get them?
Thanks.
Hi,
I didn't get the idea of configuring my OpenVPN server to listen on port 443.
I believe that choosing a different port (other than 443) doesn't make my network (on vpn server) more vulnerable
How can setting the vpn with port 443 help?
Any additional configuration is needed on other...
Yes, the first option - cheap crap...
Not recommended, i guess.
But in general - not for poe only - what is the relevant power supply spec to be used with this camera? (Assuming it has a power cable of about 3 feet - 10m and connected to a single cam) - what is the required current?
Hi,
I would like to buy a single injector for a Dahua cam (5442 - IRE - not led).
This is the voltage and consumption specs:
Power Supply
DC 12V (±30%), PoE (802.3af) (Class 0)
Power Consumption
<7.2W
I'm not sure about the required poe injector to buy.
It should be <7.2W, so 12v/1a will...
I also use an external switch devices, but then I loose all of the AI capabilities of my XVR.
I believe it is because I have an XVR and this is its limitation (XVR has COAX/AHD inputs, but can work with external switch devices).
I should have bought an NVR...
Hi, I have several questions...
- If implemnting a VPN in my network, by using a new/fresh router - is additional firewall configuration needed on this router?
- if my vpn server router has different lan segments (different subnetworks) - will all be accessable to the client vpn?
- Can an...
Hi,
I'm about to have the same router (er605). I don't have a switch, since I have 3 peripherals (XVR-NVR, 2 cams) which I'm going to connect directly to the router (does it make sense?)
As I understand from you, a switch is needed for keeping the Giga speed. in my case the ISP speed is limited...
Thank you very much for the detailed answer.
I just wonder how come the camera (assuming its port blocked by the firewall) is still available for the vms? If it is too complicate, i'll pass. Thanks.
Another question;
Is a camera or an nvr which placed remotly, but connected via a private vpn, is considered as a local network element?
(E.g. A home vpn client is connected to the office vpn server in where the camera/nvr are located
).
What about this; Tp-link TL-R605
I believe it can use as a vpn server?
If so, i believe it should be connected after my DSL router/modem?
ISP-> DSL modem/router -> vpn server -> nvr
Is this the correct setup?
