    5.8.0.5

I have been running this version for ~30 hours. The memory usage has ballooned to ~12gb. Usually it remains around 4gb or so.

CodeProjectAI Coral module keeps dropping the Coral USB

I've had the USB selective suspend setting set to disable within the power plan settings and experience this issue.

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

Just wanted to post an update. I got ALPR working with the following: ----- License Plate Reader - Version 2.6 - CPU mode (GPU doesn't work, but used to at one point) Object Detection (YOLOv5 .NET) - Version 1.6 - GPU (DirectML) ----- CPAI Explorer returns "No predictions returned", but Blue...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

Are the plates showing up if you test using the CPAI Explorer?

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

I just tested with 2.2.4 and 2.0.8 (both CPU versions) via Docker and the license plate recognition didn't work with those either via the Explorer page. Something has to be wrong.

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Under the Install Modules tab do you have License Plate Reader version 2.6 installed or a different version?

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Install worked and modules installed fine. I'm still having an issue with the License Plate Reader module not working though. Can anyone else confirm this via CodeProject.AI Explorer?

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

I noticed this issue after upgrading from Windows version 2.0.8 of CPAI. The only reason I upgraded was for the Coral TPU functionality. I haven't tried downgrading back to 2.0.8 myself, but I have been having the same ALPR issue as you for a few weeks without any other changes to my setup.

    AddToBIDB failed 121?

Corrupt DB. It has happened to me if i accidentally ran out of harddrive space. I do nightly backups so I just restored from the night before instead of doing a rebuild. You can do a rebuild if that works better for your situation.

Feed ffmpeg to BI like a camera?

Checkout GitHub - AlexxIT/go2rtc: Ultimate camera streaming application with support RTSP, RTMP, HTTP-FLV, WebRTC, MSE, HLS, MP4, MJPEG, HomeKit, FFmpeg, etc. You can use ffmpeg with exec and it should stream out RTSP as well which you could then use in BlueIris.

    Files Showing as Locked

Agreed, leaving it unchecked would be best practice unless there is some specific use case. Looks like I have a bit of work ahead of me!

    Files Showing as Locked

Yes, I manually flag some. There are quite a few AI flagged ones. Is this a result of auto flagging every single AI alert?

    Files Showing as Locked

I noticed in the log that some files are not moving from "new" as they are locked. I am not sure why they would be locked though.

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

I can't believe it's been a month already! Just wanted to post a couple of (positive) updates. I reached out to Ken and he added a couple of updates to Blue Iris (beta builds currently): API: /admin?camera=cam1&ippath=/whatever You can use the API and update the video path via ippath. JSON...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

I am using a Quadro P1000 4gb. I just switched from 6.2 to .NET and it's now utilizing my Intel i7 6700's iGPU. The times are sub-200ms with some even sub-100ms. I never expected this to work faster than CUDA. The Face Processing and License Plate Reader modules are still using CUDA. To further...

The link was previously in the linked article. It now shows 2.0.8. Here is the link for 2.1.1: https://www.codeproject.com/KB/Articles/5322557/CodeProject.AI.Server-2.1.1.zip I got some error 500s this morning. Nothing seems to be gained on my end from upgrading 2.0.8 >> 2.1.1 This explains...

    Rekor Scout Windows vs Docker

I tried an instance on docker and it seemed to run like garbage. I'll keep it running on Windows. I ended up creating a batch script that checks to see if the OpenALPR Agent service is running. If it isn't then it starts it. I added it in the task scheduler and it runs every 3 minutes. @echo...

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

Yeah, it's one of those moments where you say to yourself, "I'll just try this and it should work..." and it turns into a whole mess where you regret even purchasing the item. Definitely not worth the trouble unless Blue Iris gets an update to refresh the ONVIF data if a camera disconnect is...

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

Still looking for a new method. Didn't think about how Blue Iris saves MJPEG and it's massive unless you re-encode. Cranking out 20gb PER HOUR which is per camera (~480gb per day per camera).
  25. D

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

Yes, the RTSP stream does not have any sort of password which does not matter for my use case. The internet access can be blocked for the cameras which eliminates any external threats. The only thing is that they would need internet access to modify a setting. I don't plan on changing any...

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

The high CPU usage is for Agent DVR, not Blue Iris. Probably caused by the transcoding of RTSP H264 to MJPEG.

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

Added 4-5 camera using this method. 30% CPU (i7 12700) usage (even with GPU) just from Agent DVR. Blue Iris machine is separate. Definitely not a long term solution.

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

I finally found a solution and it seems to be working great! I installed Agent DVR -- iSpy - Open source camera security software -- and added the camera within there. I was then able to add the MJPEG for the camera URL within Blue Iris. Agent DVR has built in functionality to handle cameras...

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

After messing around with this for the day the following would be the best solution (aside from giving up and returning the cameras): Within the camera properties utilize Watchdog to trigger "Find/inspect" when connection is lost for X seconds. It's not possible at this time. Waiting on a...

    Camera's RTSP URI Changes

My ultimate goal is to stick with this camera as it is a sub-$20 (after coupon) 2.5k/4mp IP65 indoor / outdoor camera. I created a python script that polls the camera for the RTSP URI. I just need to have it poll every X seconds and update the RTSP URI within Blue Iris if a change occurs. The...
