You got it! The Government and the RR's are joined at the hip! They have been throughout history. Did you know that during WW II the RR's wer taken over by our Federal Government? This amounted to the Fed's managing the RR's. They needed to get troops and equipment across the country as...

Some of the comments here in this thread point to corruption and coverup. These hit the nail on the head! THE NS railroad is responsible for what happened here make no mistake about it. Having said that, make no mistake that the current administration holds big responsibility in it too...

    Ethernet Cable Problem

If it were me I would test the voltage output of the POE at the camera. If it is near or less than the camera requires add an injector. Some POE switches provide poor documentation on rated POE output so if you are at the edge of sufficient an injector can solve the problem.

bidens incredible transition to electric cars

In the design of the eDumper vehicle it is a 100% certainty that going down hill produces the generating required for the battery system as well as the braking force required to control the machine. EV uses an inverter to run the electric motors powering the wheels. The eDumper does not use an...

Then you add https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1124478_world-s-largest-ev-never-has-to-be-recharged Proves my point. This concept is not new either. Heavy equipment has been using this for decades. What is new is the introduction of the battery pack. It would not require going down hill...

Not to sharp on mechanics huh? Back in the old days of early automobiles manufacturers where making starters (motors) and generators (power sources) all in one unit. These were mounted on the front of the engine and powered by the engine crankshaft during operation. The same principle can be...

Lol, no. A generator to charge the batteries much the same as an alternator does on a gas vehicle.

Practical? No. Fun? extremely! The most interesting part of the article is: "When at full speed, the Zombie generates enough power to light a hospital. " If the geniuses behind EV would design a generator attached to a creation such as this, to keep the batteries charged, we might see...

What changed is that demand for electricity has remained relatively constant for the past 4 years now at roughly 4 trillion kWh. Meanwhile, plant closing have continued due to regulation and new plant construction has not kept pace with demand. Alternatives have not filled the gap either so we...

Yeah, I am sure. Coal plants are subject to major overhaul every 4 years of operation per safety regulations. This is expensive but has been going on for decades already. The publications you point to tell a perspective based on opinion rather than fact.

The restrictions in place for fossil fuel generation have been saying that for years. All across the nation coal fired plants are being shuttered due to the fact that they cannot operate under the burden of regulation. The fact is that enough plant closings have already occurred to equal more...

The nations railroads have been beating down their labor forces for the past decade. Their intent is to reduce crew size (manning) of freight trains from two crew members to a single crew member. That effort has been ongoing for the past 30 years. Sound ridiculous? The premise behind it...

Need help with Ubiquiti Edgerouter X+SFP using VLAN with Backstreet NVR

I solved this issue myself after a bit of research. Using an Edgerouter poses issues with connected NVR's and cameras attached to NVR built in POE switches that manage IP addresses for the attached cameras outside of the routing table of the Edgerouter. The fix was to establish a firewall...

tech.junkie, So I suspected something like you outline here to be the case. This all means of course that NVR's by default are not compatible with VLAN assignment unless that OS based management software is not compatible with VLAN attached NVR's. That is where my problem is for sure. I am...
