Received this camera yesterday and wow, what a difference. The 2.8mm on a 1/1.8” sensor is so much wider than the camera it replaced (2.8mm 1/3” sensor). Not enough ambient light to keep in color, but IR lights can stay off because it pulls in so much light.

Even though I'm in a rental, I've been thinking about doing the same. Concerned about when I need to run the heat in winter, though.

You could run Windows in a VM using KVM.
