That is my plan :) Hopefully I'll be able to construct a cheapish PTZ mechanism and hook them all up together. Just plugged in a 1080p version of the TOP201 with the motorized zoom lens and it is quite impressive for the price. It will be good to see how these two relatively cheap cameras...

Actually it appears my bad - I manually rotated the camera 90 degrees and the problem was solved - I didn't realise the time and date were overlaid after the image so all is good.

I've just had a play with one of the cameras I purchased from Banggood - it has a lovely picture but for some reason is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise. The time and date are in the right place, aspect ratio is correct but the whole image is rotated. Very strange !

Measure the voltage with a meter - if it is exactly (+/- 0.5v) 12v and the tip is positive then it should be fine. I'm running mine from a 12v supply from a portable hard drive at the moment.

To answer my own question ....... I managed to get a spare 5 minutes to have a play and although I didn't have a USB to TTL (3.3v) converter handy, I hooked up a multimeter to one of the three spare pads on the TOP-201 and ground. I had a nice steady 3.3v I then had a play with the PTZ on the...
