Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

So, I appeciate all of the suggestions. Here's what I think so far.....part of the problem diagnosing is that it was so erratic. . . I did the following: took all the cameras to DHCP, with the default 88 port. Removed all cameras from the system, reconnected them one by one, watched the...

Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

Definitely not the same IP address, in fact, I changed them to numbers outside what the router can assign, using ports way up at 10554, put them on DHCP, etc, so not the same I have not tried disabling UPnP yet, but seriously, when you live out in the country and have to use Wireless internet...

Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

well, our system is shielded from the internet as we have a wirelss ISP with no static ip's, and you cannot reach my ip from outside my internal network. I do believe it is possibly a software glitch in the cameras that is messing with the DNS, but have not confirmed that yet. I have an email...

Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

All browsers, all computers, and the other wifi devices on the system lose internet access, although the router indicates it has internet access and all devices show connected to the router.

I have found no way to either delete or modify this certificate. . . if I search in the certificate manager for all certificates on my computer by serial number, it doesn't show up....cannot find a solution

Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

Mine looks different , don't have option to choose view certificate, but when I clicked on advanced on the error, I could see that every single website, EVERY website I chose had the exact same error, referring to the name of the website not matching the certificate, and every certificate said...

Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

My responses when clicking did not look quite like that. What I found interesting is each website error gave this info at the bottom (and I could not choose to ignore and go to the website, btw.

Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

No, I have no way to access the camera web setup as those old plug-ins for IE are obsolete. I can access it through the Foscam app on an android/IOS device, or using the FOSCAM VMS software, which I even uninstalled thinking IT could have been the problem. These errors are when I tried to go...

Nightmares with "your connection is not private" errors, has anyone seen this specific situation?

So, I had this happen last year at our vacation home, and I can't remember what I had to do to resolve it, but I was going in and changing IP addresses on our Foscam R2 cameras and suddently, I was back in a pickle! Here's what I CAN tell you: We are on a wireless internet, so we have a radio...

    Idea for driveway camera

Pretty much, you should never run low voltage, ethernet, etc, pretty much anything inside conduit with line voltage, as you'll get bleed over We don't even run low voltage thermostat wire inside the line voltage conduit to a/c units for that very reason. My biggest concern in pulling that...

    Idea for driveway camera

I'm no pro or anything, but I was under the impression that ALL conduit will eventually have water in it...at least from condensation. Never go with the smallest conduit you can, as pvc conduit is CHEAP, compared to trying to pull through narrow conduit. Avoid 90 degree sweeps where you...

I be confused about camera choices.

Hmmm, well, I've always had to set up the port when I gave the camera a static IP, and that allowed me to access the camera independently from BI. I don't do it often, but occasionally I have accessed a specific camera directly when BI was having an issue with it and rebooted it, or if BI was...

I be confused about camera choices.

Could you explain what you mean by "you don't expose your camera directly to the net" I've read various arguments about people being able to hack your camera and see what you're seeing. . . but I've not exactly been convinced that even though we password protect our networks, cameras, etc...

I be confused about camera choices.

So, is there a comparison chart anywhere showing the differences between the various HikVision models? I mean, I CAN click around and copy & paste to make my own, but curious if it's already been done somewhere. I know a lot of people like the HikVision, I was just a tad uneasy because it...

I be confused about camera choices.

Haha, good point....except that's WHY we live where we do, because even though they can be a bit nosy, they ARE fairly decent neighbors, they don't have drag races at night, don't fight with their wives, don't paint their dens crazy colors......hahaha, just kidding, I've always been lucky enough...

I be confused about camera choices.

So, I've had several Foscam and look-alike cameras for a few years, some old, some newer, and eventually I purchased Blue Iris and set it up on it's own desktop, i7 chip, lots of ram, seems to work fairly well for our use, which is everything from that desktop to Ipads, to Androids and laptops...

    Wifi Doorbell

Well, I've had the Ring doorbell for several years, two different versions, and yeah, not impressed. It will work for awhile, or occasionally, then sometimes not for awhile. . . .I have a very large house so I use access points, one of which is pretty much on the other side of the wall from the...

Can't use stoplight to shut off alarms

I figured it out. I guess the last update had a glitch in where it switched the permissions to a user instead of administrator? I checked the permissions and sure enough, even though it had always worked fine, this time, that user ID was set to "user", not administrator. I only had one user...

Yes, I'm logged in as an administrator. My iPad app never allowed me to make setting changes, but the android did, now it won't.

Can't use stoplight to shut off alarms

So, tried to use my HTC one M9 to pause a camera, and the settings tab is grayed out, so went to the main menu, settings, and when I touch the stoplight, I get no response?!? Unlock signal/profile buttons is "on". . . .I can move the camera, but that's it. Something I am missing??? Thanks...
