    Thrown object detection

No. Like a table tennis ball. On camera it's clearly visible.

    Thrown object detection

Other risk from robbery and direct violent acts is poisoning pets inside private area. It should be detected by an "intelligent" camera network controller SW. As it requires the analysis of successive video frames and trajectory detection of moving objects it is questionable if possible with BI...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

However now both YoloV5 and YoloV8 give much more false positive detections, in CP AI 2.6.2 than it was in 2.0.8. So will revert to 2.0.8 tomorrow. Later version should be better I thought but it seems that it has kind of reached its limits by many reasons.

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

Just did an experimental test with CP AI Benchmark tab. Got an image from the web: Rescaled that to various sizes: 4k, 2k, 1280, 720, 640, 320, 160 wide images and provided them to the AI benchmark. Then checked the resulting detection %, FPS and CPU load. Detection % of the person on the...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

Thanks, will try D1 or 640*480 whichever is available on the camera. full resolution at high fps/bit rate must be used for identification. 3 streams are ideal I think because phone apps can use a low bit-rate low resolution secondary and AI can use a high bit rate fixed res. third.

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

Ok. Will check it out. Usually, as I remember it was at about equal in detection with similar resoltion (around 640x480). But some high resolution cameras have distant scenes. For them I kept the higher res. And after that as Dahuas can do 1080p on third stream I just preferred to have 720p or...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

The substreams are set to 720p or 1080p whichever is possible on the camera. May it have some rescaling to expected AI input resolution, that causes the CPU load? So, maybe rescaling of sub's frames can raise the CPU. What resolution do you use on substreams? I guess there's an optimal...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

That's promising. Just did a stop and restart to the CP AI on its webpage then the CPU goes down to 35% and then back to 100 on restart. The RAM usage also fell some GBs. Had a sreenshot but haven't saved. Now tried again but it always autostarts. I can't stop it. Anyway it seems to be related...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

Saved screenshots on disable and enable. Also got YoloV5 working. It has some internal bugs in CP AI, also attached. Is it something to do with camera resolution? This flats the CPU now.

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

It's dedicated to this task. Nothing else uses this PC. Tried to disable the cameras earlier today. CPU went down to 0 %. Then gradually up to 30. It was a nice linear slope. Will try the FPS. Lower FPS for subs gives better image.. Will try on some of them to see if it helps. Now it's 3:18 AM...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

Yes. That would be nice. There are motion zone masks to reduce false detections on some cameras. But it would de-compress the stream anyway to hand frames over to AI. So it's de-compressing frames on motion trigger. That's a considerable work to do. And it may do resize to AI input, but I'm not...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

Camera status is great. Thanks for the idea. I was missing something like that for a long time. Attached the screenshots. It's running only for about an hour. 85 % is a good average. Now it's at version 5.8.6.7. Daytime it's somewhat more. All cameras are direct to disk (Although some privacy...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

I haven't left mine running for so long. Just about 5 minutes. As CPU didn't fall from 100 decided to revert the version and really everything after 5.8.6.7 ate a bit more CPU as the version number increased and went flat from about late-March versions. To the memory usage I saw similar when AI...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

Yes, the AI runs on substreams. No mainstream usage is allowed for any cameras. Eventually I tweaked the substream (third if available) quality to reasonable level 2 Mbit/s for 2 MP res., @ 15 fps, etc.) and AI really didn't give better results with with mainstreams. Haven't checked the wiki...

Excessive CPU load with newer versions than 5.8.6.7 version of BI

My PC (i7 8700, 24 GB RAM, GTX 1660, 170 Mbit/sec total IP data rate from 28 cameras, CodeProjectAI 2.6.2) was around 85% CPU usage with maximal 1/sec trigger rate per camera. With the latest BI update versions since 5.8.6.7, as the version number increments it gradually flats to 100 % CPU. Is...

Excessive IP data rate drawn from camera by BI

BlueIris goes crazy when the 'I' frame interval is less than the frame count per second. I wanted to get more accurate frames for intruder recognition so set the I frame interval to half of the frames/sec. Then network data rates from the cameras went to 3x of the CBR setting. I don't know what...

'No Stream' warning stuck for camera while running

Just reverted back to 5.8.3.3 (2024.01.08) and it's working. Warnings appear and disappear for those cameras but don't remain stuck. This is my first in-production bug related troubleshooting :D :thumb:. Still interests when it will be corrected as I don't want to stay at a past version...

'No Stream' warning stuck for camera while running

Hi, My BI has stuck 'No Stream' warning for some cameras for days and hence doesn't detect motion and objects by AI, however BI showns the camera streams and displays the main and sub bitrates. It recovers from the warning state if I manually restart the camera. Did somebody face with this...

    CodeProject.AI "To cancel:" list wildcard

Hi, Thanks for the good advice. It really makes sense. I thought about recognizing something as a person, that is not that in reality. Like BI occasionally recognizes our dog as person and I thought it also recognizes that as dog but with a less probability. So wanted to cancel the dog...

    CodeProject.AI "To cancel:" list wildcard

Hi, does anybody know how to cancel everything but person in CodeProject.AI recognition? I want to confirm "person" and add everything else to the "To cancel:" list but by a wildcard as I have no idea 1. How many other objects CodeProject.AI can recognize 2. How long the "To cancel" list can be...

    Blue Iris alerts disappearing

Hi, I have 5.7.7.18 and after periodic DB compacting the last few hours of alerts disappear. Compacting is set to 2 am each day. Alerts from the previous night to the compacting event go missing. I was just replayed the alerts now when it started compacting. Then when I came back after it...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Referring to the attached settings, I've set the 'Hardware accelerated decode' to NvDEC and the GPU to 1. And since then the 'Video Decode' of the nVidia GPU has elevated from 0 % while of the UHD 630's fallen to 0 %. But I think that's the camera video stream decode inside BI and not what CP.AI...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Mine has 0 % 3D utilization (3D may relate to matrix operation, that can be essential to AI), so I think my CP AI still uses either the CPU or the CPU's GPU. I have no idea how to be sure about that. Found no settings in CP.AI to configure which GPU to use.

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Possible sub-stream resolutions vary with the camera. E.g. a Dahua 5442 has 3 streams that is very nice. Can be configured e.g. to 1 full res., 1 full HD, 1 ~VGA. I love this approach. But for example a non-C Hikvision 2086 has only 720p 3rd stream, and so on. Dahua's full-HD third stream is...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

It also depends on what number format it uses. NNs with multiple layers eat the binary precision. Also models must be re-quantized for each alternative format to give any result. So the TPU may be quick and low power on INT8 and FP16 but may not be able to supply the required precision. The...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Hi, This is how a startup looks like at my BI server. Originally the video decoding of both cameras was done on the built-in GPU (8th gen. i7, HD 630), GPU 0. Then the GPU 0 was busy doing 3D operations according to the task manager, with at about 30 % duration. CP AI was always set to GPU but...
