That’s a fairly safe “chunker”. There’s been a fair bit of development in the wood gas field. It was big around WW2, but it’s got a growing base. Guys are running in everything from bikes, tractors, cars, to pickups. One group does a yearly meetup in Argos Indiana and drive from all over. The EU...

    Unique security camera question

the doorbell camera. Added to my post now For small, basic camera for “doorwayesque” uses, it is the gold standard recommended on this site is it not? It checks the boxes of what he’s after it seems

    Unique security camera question

Reolink (doorbell) camera, double sided tape to stick to the outside. Run cord through window to POE switch and then to computer or other hardwire point. App will do the phone. Put a stick on window so it can’t slide open. Cord can survive a few openings on it and pinching it should break it...

    New bid - restaurant

Another site I‘m at seemed to be a testing ground for a while. Then they implemented a verification email or PM link. Nothing after about 12H, account zapped. But they are a smaller site than here, so mods can control better. The next steps in the bot progression should be assorted DDOS and...

    Burying ethernet cable outdoors

putting a short run between the 45’s is nice, but without that it’s still with 1/2-1 pipe diameter extra IIRC for offset. Same as go up as many pipe sizes as you’re comfortable with. instead of ”traditional PVC“, look at the black water/irrigation lines Typically cheap as hell. Up to about 2”...

    Burying ethernet cable outdoors

or you can just use two 45 degrees. If you‘re making Up the run, it’s easy and negligible cost.

    Slip 'n Spin

4WD is nice, but without a way to make both sides turn together, you’re still likely to be in trouble. You have just 2 2WD systems working, kinda together, kinda not. without a limited slip or locking hubs, you can be stuck on wet grass with 4WD.

Ok, so is the card below better for a Reolink POE doorbell, or a Viofo dash cam? Or too big for either? SanDisk Extreme micro SDXC 400 GB UHS-I Card with Adapter It‘s hard to see if they can actually use/recognize these larger cards compared to the 32/64 GB ones…

how to partially light up a yard

Constant light is fine. Wildlife gets used to things pretty fast. Especially if there’s no predatory pressure in area. Dropping feed for a bit might help, but beware “baiting” in some areas.

    Multiple switch control

Great suggestions, thank you! I’ll have to look at Shelly and Tasmota a bit more. Are there any forums for those? It’s 80’s construction, one of the first iterations of R2000 homes; it’s likely metal switch boxes and other inconvenient signal blocking things. So the independent switches from...

    Chainsaws (Gas/Battery/Corded)???

For 10 acres, the Dewalt and it’s similar would be fine. Pretty much whatever line you’ve invested in. Unless you’re cutting for a wood stove, you won’t be doing much cutting all at once. Unless it’s after a storm. Have batteries charged in advance of a storm and you’re good. And for trail...

HI All, It looks like I’ll be adding a doorbell cam, and Reolink seems to be the preferred option here. Since I’ll be making an order, I’ve got a few lights and switches that I want to link together. A couple outdoor lights, lights around the garage, maybe the basement, etc. I just need the...
