    Spyhole Camera

Thanks for the suggestions, they all seem to be just 2MP for around £45 which I feel is a bit steep. I currently have a 8MP Dahua turret sitting on the window sill about 2m to the side of the door which works OK, once I turned the internal IR source off. I just hoped for a cleaner setup.

    Spyhole Camera

Have any manufacturers put an IP Camera into an old spyhole camera format? I have an old style spyhole in my front door and figure that an IP camera that could just feed into my NVR would be a great addition. the only options I can find so far are analogue cameras. Any suggestions?

    So THIS just happened...

Don't even need ice, cold wet wooden decking is a death trap.

Yes, tried setting the resolution down to just HD (lol just HD, must be getting old). I have checked and rechecked the password a number of times. In theory I could update the NVR but it's an AliExpress import so would probably just brick it, assuming I can even find a more recent version...

I have a standalone POE Injector which I'm using to power a Dahua IPC-HDW2831T-AS camera, and using a Dahua NVR4108-P. The camera is perfectly viewable through a browser it just throws up errors when I try to use the NVR. I think the problem is the recorder has a build date of 2015/16...

Did you ever work out the problem with this? I'm getting the same error with my new camera, works fine directly through IE and the web interface, and SmartPSS works too. But when I try to add to my Dahua NVR I get the message. I wonder if it might be because the old NVR doesn't like a new 4k...

    Dahua 4mp, 6mm turrets (IPC-HDW4421C)

I have finally got around to picking up some new kit, I got one of the HDW4421C-A cameras and as suggested, the cable will pass through the plastic tubes (external diameter 25mm) that go through the cavity walls. Not installed it outside yet, currently the camera and NVR are on a table inside...

    Dahua 4mp, 6mm turrets (IPC-HDW4421C)

Thank you for that, now to try and find an AliExpress supplier that will sell the cameras and the NVR at a competitive price. That site could really do with some work I was looking at stuff the other day and found I was looking at two different shops, would rather get it all from one and save...

    Dahua 4mp, 6mm turrets (IPC-HDW4421C)

Thank for that, the holes I have drilled are 25mm (so 1") with a plastic sleeve to guide and protect the wires through the cavity, so it's unlikely that it will fit. I will have to look for a supplier that can also supply the waterproof boxes that fit to the walls for the cameras to sit on...

    Dahua 4mp, 6mm turrets (IPC-HDW4421C)

Hi, just found this thread via a Google search whilst looking for new CCTV system/cameras. Want to switch from 5 year old analogue to a IP setup. Could someone here please tell me the length of the leads from the back of the camera to the ethernet socket? Also what diameter hole is needed to...
