Vehicle trigger settings - missing subsequent vehicles after initial capture

Thanks for the feedback. I have a Plan C location that is much closer to the road but still at a bit of an angle, so I will consider that. I'll also have an overview cam so might be able to use that to trigger the LPR. Yep it's working as is :idk: It's extracting plate numbers and burning them...

Vehicle trigger settings - missing subsequent vehicles after initial capture

Thanks, I'll see if I can reduce the processing times. Do we know what resolution CP.AI works with so we can match up? If it works like that...

Vehicle trigger settings - missing subsequent vehicles after initial capture

@wittaj The more I think about it, the more I think that break time setting is to blame... On a slight tangent, my LPR camera is at an angle of about 35 degrees to the road. I assume this makes it easy to trigger because vehicles pass from in and out of the screen fairly quickly. I'm planning...

Vehicle trigger settings - missing subsequent vehicles after initial capture

Thanks I'll try enabling that one. For my LPR camera I don't have sub-stream enabled. My thinking is if it fails to trigger on a vehicle, I can still go back and manually read the plate. I do have CP.AI reading/extracting the plate number and saving it as text on the alert. I could enable...

    Newbie with some basic questions

@wittaj Ah OK I saw that thread, but just glanced over it. I didn't want to get into this, but I did 15 mins of testing using the Z12E, same night-time shutter settings, and it looked promising. But there are a hundred variables and it will be the last thing I do as I've only scratched the...

Is there a post with the Z12E test? I knew I shouldn't have mentioned this, I'm only interested in my questions :( The illuminator is just something to play around with and a nice-to-have if I get it working.

    Newbie with some basic questions

I had read the same thing. Factory default is full power, my plan is to dial it down and see if I can find a balance between red-glow visibility and illumination. I've seen some posts about cameras not being able to detect 940nm etc but in my very brief search haven't located real world results...

Vehicle trigger settings - missing subsequent vehicles after initial capture

Are you referring to Break Time > End trigger unless re-triggered within? The minimum I can set mine to is 1.0 sec, it won't go any lower :( I'm running Blue Iris 5.8.2.5 if that matters.

Awesome I didn't see mention of the Pushover app on my travels, but it looks like what I need. I could never get the push notifications to work in the BI app, but I didn't follow their Remote Access Wizard because I think it wanted to enable UPnP or forward ports and I don't understand these...

Vehicle trigger settings - missing subsequent vehicles after initial capture

My LPR camera detects single vehicles well. But when vehicles pass in quick succession, while BI will trigger consistently for each vehicle, the footage sent to CodeProject.AI has missed vehicle #2, #3, #4 etc. They have already passed and are out of frame. The second vehicle is triggering...

Continued.... BI APP: 6. I've had occasional issues with the android BI app, where it will consume a massive amount of data upon opening and auto-login, fail to load anything, and hang for minutes at a time. Clearing the cache doesn't help, but clearing data does - which means I must then...

    Newbie with some basic questions

Hi all I've managed to get a camera system up and running from scratch using all the information here. It's taken me a solid 3 or 4 months of research, ordering and setting everything up, but I got there in the end! My brain is fried from scouring forums. I have a bunch of niggling questions...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

@actran Thanks for the tip! I have a lot to learn with BI. I still eventually want to collect this info externally somehow, so I can log the movements of particular vehicles, but it's not a priority right now. CP.AI is impressive so far with capturing the Australian plates considering I have...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

Even an excel spreadsheet would do me for now. Some way to export timestamp, plate number and preferably a link to the still capture image saved in the Alerts folder, to a .csv file. Have you come across anything like that?

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

Hi all, I am interested in logging the plates captured by CodeProjectAI, and it seems this Code Red is the only option at the moment? I managed to fumble my way through setting up a home network with OpenVPN access and configuring Blue Iris to reliably capture plates, but I have ZERO programming...

Shielded or unshielded cable for close proximity to radio tower

Thanks for the replies and links. I'm in Australia and metal conduit is only used in commercial/industrial applications, so it is rather expensive here :( @garycrist Sounds like you know a bit about radio transmissions. Not sure if it helps, but this tower is 180m (590 ft) tall and broadcasts...

Shielded or unshielded cable for close proximity to radio tower

Hi all I live next to a 5kW AM radio antenna, which in the past used to cause interference on analogue TVs in the area. Also sometimes when an audio jack has been half plugged into speakers, it can start playing the radio - the cable is acting as an antenna. I'm planning to install some...

How much resolution is really needed for LPR

Hey wittaj and others. I'm new here, and have been reading the forums for a couple of weeks trying to learn everything o_O Apologies for reviving an older thread but I'd like to clarify a couple of things which might also help other noobs like me. 1. You mention sensor size is more important...
