I bit over my head at the moment. I noticed that once you click on the camera in the webUI, NVR will keep this port open (18+ hours for now) but only for that IP address. My goal is to figure out a way to foul it via curl/wget one day.

I did not. After lowering down frame rates of my cameras (to 10fps) the delay is under 3 seconds most of the time and often under 1 sec, so this became lower priority. Let me know if you need help with curl or wget as I have that working (straight from the NVR or camera direct). One more thing...

Well, sometimes they do -I am getting them in 0.3 seconds from time to time. I just noticed that reducing the frame rate of the camera stream have impact. Still have occasional 4-5 seconds but it is better then where I started. I wonder if there is a way to monitor the NVR CPU via SSH.

I actually thing it performs better with the interval set as high as possible. When set to 1 sec (for event) and quality is "6=Best", it returns 500 Server Error after 15 seconds. The other interesting bit here is that I have one camera that completes everything in 0.3 seconds most of the time...

It may be a firmware glitch then although I do recall having this problem 2 years ago but then I gave up on the email snapshots. Is your NVR the 8 port or 16 port?

Yeap. It is on. I moved in one of the cameras in a dark room. IVS works, I got email with image. If turn on the light, IVS stops working again.

The ? is for additional parameters. For NVR, ?channel=X etc. IE11 blocks basic authentication. I can also get it to work in a browser without a loging popup but after I wireshark-ed I realized that the browsers are smart enough to translate the user and pass in the URL to a digest authentication.

It will not work that way. When I did mine 2 weeks ago, I couldn't find the older firmware so I kind of went straight to 4.0. Read my comment (#239 I think) on page 12.

<10 minutes. You should see the end message. Then stop the TFTP server. Otherwise camera will start re-flashing again after reboot.
