That's correct and it comes up with a message saying 'failed to bind' I rebooted the nvr Update!: It worked i'm back and with playback woohoo!

So, i deleted the device from my phone and tried to re add it via P2P mode and it keeps saying 'failed to bind' i then tried ip/domain and it connected and playback was working again. I then checked P2P was enabled on the NVR which it is. But don't understand why it won't connect on the app for P2P?

I've played around with the picture settings on the camera. This I'd what I've ended up with. May need some tweaking. I'll have to get up on a ladder to move it. A job for a weekend I reckon. Always raining and cold here!

OK I'll set the camera IR mode auto on night profile see how that goes at night time and let you know. The sane settings are also on the nvr too where i can do contrast brightness etc? Is this different to canera settings?. I'm assuming it's best to just set it on the camera?

Exactly what Paul above had mentioned!! I changed the region grid where you select where you want motion 'red boxes' clicked save on the app went to test it and nothing happened, no motion back to 24/7 recording!

Now this is very handy to know!! AS currently I've been doing everything on this stupid annoying app!! Probably why it's messing up all the time!! So can I clarify, use the app for viewing and playback and make changes via the web service or on the actual NVR itself ?
